The Savoy Apartment Homes

I moved into the Savoy 11/1/24 move in date was 10/31/24 (not sure why as I was charged a full month for everything but I digress). I relocated to Georgia from out of state after a month of living here I think I can give a very honest breakdown. I can honestly state from day one I had major disappointments. Day one I was advised my apartment was being deep cleaned when came for my keys. If a deep cleaning was done, the person was blindfolded with both hands tied behind their back. The apartment was disgustingly filthy. I actually feel like I'm still cleaning things from whomever last lived here. Besides the disgusting filth of the “entire” apartment….the kitchen sink leaked, the refrigerator moved all over, caulking was missing in both bathrooms, pipes looked molded, walls/windowsills dir

We lived at the savoy for a year, and the experience was terrible. The service in the complex is awful — no response, complete disregard when something needs to be fixed. But when they want money from you, suddenly they know how to answer within seconds. The office staff is unpleasant and always seems tired. When we finally moved out, they sent us a surprise invoice with made-up charges: tickets for “speeding” in the garage, a fine for throwing away furniture in the dumpster, and all kinds of ridiculous fees they invent just to take more money. Of course, they never notify you about anything beforehand and never mention these “issues” until the moment you move out — so they can surprise you with the charges. Thieves, terrible service, and nothing but scammers.

As I sit out on my balcony this morning, I felt compelled to share the very positive changes that have recently occurred here. I have lived at The Savoy for about 9 years now, and I have NEVER been so pleased with the way the property is being managed. First, I moved to a larger apartment in March- there was a transition in management at the time, but Dwayne handled it extremely efficiently, professional, and he genuinely did an outstanding job to ensure a seamless move for me. Sarai in the front office was SO kind, helpful, and patient as she took the time to show me all options-and, yes... I tend to be quite “picky”- but she happily greeted me each time I wanted to see another unit. Then Justine came on board as the property manager. We did the tour of the property 2 times with Ms. Brandy & she was nice. Overall, we liked everything but we ended up going with another apartment. They charge water / sewer based on the number of people in the apartment & not based on usage by the individual apartment. I didn't like it but its ok, not a big issue. They charge parking fee for visitors per hour or per day & its around $5 per day. again, I didn't like it but its ok, not a big issue. At least, it will restrict un-necessary traffic in the property. The only reason why we decided not to lease is because,, this may be just my personal issue but,, they only do income verification through a third-party & applicants will have to LINK all their direct deposit bank accounts with third party AI system so they can verify your total

We pay for amenities every month, yet we cannot use them. On top of the amenities fee, there's an additional charge to use the clubhouse, and the gym equipment is outdated.
