The Salado Apartments

If I could give this apartment 0 stars I would. I had the opportunity of living in 5 different apartments during my 4 years of undergrad and this was by far the most disgusting and worse apartment out of all of them. I am not sure if it was just my unit but from the minute I got there , pest were everywhere, water leaked into my closet, extremely rude maintenance guy, roaches coming from the vent , spiders coming from my vent, and the worse problem my unit had was gnats. I consistently told maintenance to help me with the gnats and they kept saying they were coming from the kitchen. They weren’t but I know they didn’t believe me I tested the theory out myself. The gnats were always found flying in my bathroom. When I moved in both my sink and bathroom faucet were yellow with mold. After do

They shut off the water for three days to do pipe work (unrelated to the winter storm which also cut our water for a week). They did not give us a place to stay so we had to find someone to crash with. We asked for a meager 3 day reduction to our rent that month and they said no! I never received the water bill that we were supposed to get each month. I asked them again and again to put me on the mailing list for the water bill, but they never did. The water bill did not show up on the payment portal either, so I never knew how much to pay and they would often refuse to tell me and hit me with late fees. Bad experience. They're continuously shutting off the water and the only solution they give us is a "sorry for the inconvenience". Even if you don't smoke, your apartment will smell like cigarettes. The size of the apartments are nice but the old fixtures, funky smell, and poor management outweigh the pros. They do nothing to compensate you for the inconveniences.
