The Ridge at Talcott Mountain

I’ve been going through a difficult situation that’s been causing a lot of stress. I’m not comfortable with how I’ve been treated by the new property manager, so I brought my concerns to her manager in hopes of finding a resolution. It’s now been over a week without any response, which — in my opinion — isn’t very professional. I’m still deciding whether to share more about what’s been happening, but I feel it’s important to speak up when something doesn’t feel right. Stay tuned.

When I moved into this complex, it was the nicest place I had ever lived. Its location right behind Talcott Mountain makes it a beautiful complex. I was in awe when I pulled into the complex each day after work in the fall. The unit I lived in was an end unit townhouse, about 1600 sq. ft. Everything changed once winter hit and the deep cold set in. As early as December, my pipes froze, and apparently so did those of a lot of other units. There were emails from management asking tenants to drip the pipes overnight. Then January came and things got worse. Not only did I have to drip the pipes at night, but the heat itself stopped working. I had no heat for over a week while they got somebody to service the unit. Their fix in the meantime was a few space heaters to heat over 1600 sq. ft. Eve

Have been living at The Ridge for almost 2 years. My experience has been wonderful! My apartment is spacious and has been efficient to heat & cool. The management team is very responsive to any concerns! Recently my apartment had to get a preemptive treatment for pests, though this was a bit of a hassle for me it was nice to see the concern from management. As far as the review that mentions cockroaches i find that highly unlikely. Not one of the apartments including and surrounding that unit (i know because i live above it) had any evidence of any sort of pest activity. In fact i have never even seen a spider in my unit. Kim Howard has a big job managing such a large complex. I have only found her to be extremely responsive and kind to me in any of my requests! I even lock myself out

Living here has given my kiddos and doggy and I an amazing community. It's a safe community with great tenants... many young professionals, doggy lovers, people building homes or downsizing; and there are all types of families. The properties are still being developed so at times, it has it's drawbacks, for example the landscaping or building still being in progress or things taking a little bit to get dealt with. Issues happen but they have never been invasive or made me think about leaving. I am genuinely content living here and find it very convenient and comfortable and helpful. I think the price is fair for the quality of where we live and they even took my suggestion to do community events and egg hunts. They even host food trucks which is awesome. It's truly pretty nice living her

My wife and I setup an appointment to view 1 bedroom after told they were a few available. Upon arrival to the office Kim and associates were very unprofessional and rude. I was told there were no available appointments after I took time off from work to view. I experienced racism which is ridiculous in 2025. Not only I’m I over qualified financially and also credit score. Please treat others like how you want to be treated. I would give you guys zero stars . Also stop changing price of rent that’s posted online
