Aspen Green at Simsbury

I do not recommend living at Aspen Green in Simsbury. This has been one of the worst rental experiences I’ve had. The rent is extremely high for the poor quality of construction. The walls are paper-thin with almost no insulation, and you can hear everything. For the price they charge, the building should feel solid and well-built — it absolutely does not. Maintenance and property management are disappointing. Communication systems are frequently broken, and when issues are reported, management is often rude and unhelpful instead of proactive. Problems feel ignored rather than resolved. During the winter, the parking lot and walkways are not properly cleared of snow, creating unsafe conditions. Twice I've had to get a hotel because of a high pitched keening from the hot water heater, I went almost 2 months without hot water as they tried their darndest to avoid replacing the faulty hot water heater.The pool gets locked all the time for no reason while keeping arbitrary pool hours even on really hot days. For a place as overpriced as this one you would think they would cater to their residents better. Although the women in the office are great and very helpful Im not renewing my lease.

Aspen Green at Simsbury is one of the best & new apartments in the Hartford area. I've living here for 2 years. The apartment is quiet (not noisy) and clean; maintenance staffs are quick to respond; day care is at a walking distance, and paved walking & cycling trails passes by the apartment.

We had a great experience at Aspen Green! We lived here for about a year and a half. The leasing and maintenance staff were very helpful and prompt with our requests. The cleaning staff for the common areas and the gym were excellent. Having allergies to dogs, we greatly appreciated the dog-free buildings. We recently moved out as we purchased a new home. We highly recommend Aspen Green!

UPDATE: What was the point of leaving a forwarding address if they’re not going to forward mail? This place is awful. — We lived here for three years. At first we were so excited. We loved the space, and the leasing office seemed so great to work with. I’m so happy we moved. If you do decide to rent here and want/have a dog, take my advice: ask whether your building is dog-friendly. These people lied to us. We were told it was a dog-friendly complex only to learn later when we were about to adopt that our specific building was not allowed to have dogs. We were not given a reason, which is unsurprising because the office doesn’t communicate clearly with residents. The staff isn’t mean.
