The Rexford at Waterford Lakes

Terrible apartment complex. I don’t feel comfortable in my own apartment. The gates are always broken and a couple months ago cars had all the wheels stolen and put on cinder blocks. The complex never notified any resident about what happened. (Edit: Don’t be fooled by their reply. I contacted them and they didn’t do anything about my issue. Would rate 0 stars if I could.)

The apartment has a great location and a huge balcony! However, nothing is properly maintained. It's always very dirty—trash and dog poop are left everywhere, and the grass and bushes have been dead for a while. You can really tell how much better the neighboring apartments look in comparison. The maintenance staff is often seen smoking, and they're not very friendly—no one even says hi when they pass by. We had mold in our windows that blocked the view, but the owner refused to clean it. As the saying goes, "a fish rots from the head down." Building F had visible mold on the first floor—be aware of that. We lived in Building G, which constantly had a strange, musty smell. I doubt the AC vents have ever been cleaned. Also, the gate is always broken.

This is a great location and beautiful layout with the pond and fountain. Kiera is very helpful and knowledgeable and truly cares- she is a real asset for the community. She goes above and beyond to answer questions and share her insight. We toured this among many apartments and enjoyed the hammock and sand volleyball area were a fantastic feature. Rexford is a wonderful place for your next home.

The apartment itself is nice, spacious bedroom and closets. The community is ok, there are many ducks in the retention pond, which makes it very unsanitary and defats the purpose of having a walkable area near the retention pond since it is always full of duck feces. Management does not help in any way shape or form. I will begin with, I was mislead with the apartment that was available and I applied for. I was promised a balcony, and when I walked in the day I picked up keys the apartment did not have a balcony. Management did not even try to address their mistake or assist is any way. Today, six months into living here I receive a call to submit for the third time my renters insurance as well as documents for my dog. Based on our experience I would not recommend renting here. We applied for an apartment. They overcharged us $300 on the application fee and they refused to refund it. We had to dispute the charge with the credit card company to get our money back. They also would not honor the advertised rent. After running our application they tried to raise the rent significantly. They tried gaslighting us when we questioned them about the increase in quoted rent. Also they were quite rude during each interaction we had with them.
