The Retreat at Hidden Bay Apartment Homes

I stayed at this location after the passing of my mother because I wanted to get away from my hometown. I would not recommend staying here to anyone. It’s a lot of hidden fees they do not tell you about. Before moving out I went to the apartment manager and explained my situation about my son and she recommended that I did not pay last month rent to move out. She told me to just make sure I pay for the month that we was in and I had to be out the apartment before the 5th and the rent was paid before I left which I did everything she said. I was told that it would be cheaper for them to call me and discuss a payment. She lied about that. I have been trying to get in contact with her and she do not return any calls. I have left messages with Logan and everything. Now I am be charged over 4,0

I've been here several months and I should probably update. If you're looking for a nice quiet place to live. Clean. Kept up. Landlords actually take care of the property, this is it. Better pricing than places around here and better quality. Nice people that run the front desk. Really can't ask for more.

Nice, quiet apartments. They have lots of different lease types. A lot of Navy/Marines residents. It's very clean. They are mowing all the time. The grounds are well maintained. Maintenance is there quick if you need something. I live here alone with my dogs. I have never even once felt not safe. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the apartments are a little dated

Let me start off by saying we lived in two different units at this place. The first one (a two-bedroom) was fine, and we lived there for a year with no trouble—aside from noisy neighbors, but that's to be expected in apartment living. When we moved to a one-bedroom, things went downhill fast. Upon receiving the keys, the manager casually mentioned that the unit had just been treated for fleas. She handed me the keys after I had already paid for movers, essentially last minute, and assured me there would be no fleas left. We don’t even have pets. Of course, a few days later, there were fleas everywhere. We were given a $100 credit as compensation and told to vacuum four times a day to manage the situation. How is that my responsibility, especially when the issue was never properly addressed

Extremely rude and if your ID verify gets denied nothing can be done apparently which is crazy and something I've never heard of. I definitely look like my ID and had good lighting. Maybe need a new online process. Sorry should've been clear, I talked to 2 different ladies in office who said I should've used better lighting and once my ID wasn't verified and locked me out nothing further they could do? So denied they said. I never even got to fill out an application, crazy system.
