The Remington Apartments

I’ve been leasing with Fllat Housing at The Remington, and it’s been a great experience. The location is excellent, the building feels safe, and my room is bright, clean, and exactly as advertised. I had a few small issues (bathtub clogging, water boiler replacement, and even a key stuck in the door lock), but the maintenance team handled everything extremely fast—usually within one to two business days. They even replaced the lock right away so I could access my apartment safely. Management is responsive, professional, and truly helpful. For anyone looking for affordable, reliable, and well-managed housing in DC, I highly recommend Fllat Housing.

I had an experience renting in this building. I can say that it was positive. All parts related to the agreement and communication with staff were done through using the service called Fllat.com. The building itself is cozy and well equipped. The management is responsive and react quite quickly to requests, trying to help. It’s also worth to admit the location, very convenient if you are a student and want to live next to campus.

I stayed at the Remington for the fall 2025 semester as an international student. I was renting the room through FLLAT. To be very honest, the experience was very comfortable. Being an international student, I was put to ease by room tours and a very transparent process. The building manager Sam was always there for me even at odd hours, making sure I am well accommodated. The maintenance crew made sure all problems were fixed on time and maintained the cleanliness of the building regularly. The location is closer than some GWU dorms. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good stay.

I rented a furnished room with the Fllat. It’s a calm and clean apartment with good roommate. The location is good. The Whole Foods and other restaurants are nearby. Whenever we've had a problem, it has been resolved quickly after we reported it.

I can attest that the conditions in this building are indeed abysmal. I rented an apartment here while serving in a summer internship, so I stayed at the Remington for all throughout June, July, and August of 2023. The building poses a significant health hazard, as rooms could be infested with mice and cockroaches. Don't call the maintenance to send an exterminator, because all they will do is spray in a few places and leave after five minutes (which doesn't solve anything). Bathrooms could have mildew/mold growing on shower curtains. The dumpster/trash cans are always overflowing with garbage. A lot of the rooms do not have any access to natural lighting, so if you want that, they make you pay an extra rate for a room with a balcony. Even if you do have a balcony room, some of the shadin
