The Plaza Grande at Garden State Park

I toured today with my sister, both of us looking for units. We toured with Farzana. She had been dealing with me in the past when I inquired and actually remembered what I wanted a month or so later. We were an hour late on a Sunday, and no worries from her. She was incredible, friendly, and very reassuring and was able to talk about the units in detail, differences, etc. We're going to rent 2 units. That clubhouse is fabulous, and was unexpected. Way better than the online photos which is unusual. Can't wait to get moved in. If the rest of the staff is like her, i'm going to make some new friends. Just don't leave your trash in the hallway!

My mother moved into this brand-new apartment complex over the summer, and we expected basic functioning systems and responsive management. Instead, it has been nothing but disappointment and neglect. Her air conditioner has been broken since early September, and despite endless work orders, calls, and in-person requests, the issue has STILL not been fixed and it’s now December. This is a new building. There is no excuse for this level of incompetence. My mother has significant allergies and relies on proper airflow, yet management has shown absolutely no urgency or concern for her health. And now things have gotten even worse, she has water pouring into her bathroom from the apartment above. This is happening in a supposedly “luxury,” newly-built complex, and yet there is zero follow-up

Plaza Grande does not live up to its claim of offering premier apartments and a luxurious lifestyle. The residents are friendly and welcoming. The apartments are nice enough, and the classes and amenities offered in the clubhouse are a benefit to the community. However, it falls short of offering adequate services. The intercom system in number of buildings has been out of order for over six months. This means that we have to go down to the lobby to allow visitors entry to the building. Elevators are often out of order; there is only one elevator in each building. There is a phone number provided for emergency maintenance issues but those calls go unanswered.

The place has so much potential, great location and residents. However, the owner has changed property management a few times since living here. It’s not the property management that is the issue, it’s the owner. He does not put money into things that need fixing, intercoms do not work, pool, jacuzzi and saunas do not work, moldy ceiling in pool area in clubhouse along with other safety and security issues throughout complex. He never responds to complaints and seems to be a slumlord. Residents move out once their lease is up. With the rent being high and amenities that are not working as promised, you can rent cheaper somewhere else with less aggravation. Renters beware.
