The Place at Oak Hills

We have been here almost a month so far we are loving it. There were a few thing wrong when we moved in even with the feeeze the fixed everything quickly. Don the maintenance man was great and took care of everything I needed done. Troy and Dina in the office have been very helpful from getting us moved in to putting in work orders for me and addressing all my issues quickly and professionally. Over all we love the apartment and it’s less than 5 minutes from heb and Walmart the elementary school is only 6 minutes away.. the only problem we have here is Michael Chavez he gives us a hard time for any and everything we need I don’t even bother with him at this point as I said everyone else in the office is so great and helpful but that one

I live in apartment, 3004 and my maintenance people at my apartment are very wonderful there. A spot on they take care of their own Ray and Don are the best maintenance people that I’ve ever came across. They make sure that we’re comfortable making sure that they are on time they come in they make sure everything‘s good. They make sure that everything is up-to-date especially if you put a request and they make sure that everything is good to go before they leave and they go the extra mile I made a request and they came in the next day. I had a problem with my oven where it was over heating and it was making my entire apartment you know smoking and stuff so I made sure that I made a hazard emergency request and they came the next day and they cleaned out my oven for me. I moved in in September at first. It was great. Nothing was going on until about a week after I moved in and then my apartment is infested with roaches they fall from my microwave. They’re inside the microwave where the time is at I’ve seen them in my freezer in my fridge. They crawl all over the walls the counters, the sinks they’re everywhere. Nothing I do get rid of them not to mention I’ve put in work orders three times for my AC and nothing has been done to fix it this past week and that got really cold. My hair didn’t work. It blew cool air. I had to use a space heater to keep myself warm. If you’re looking for a place to move, I highly encourage you not to come here. The office staff is quick to take the money but not quick to fix the issues.

I’m sure the rest of the property is great, the units themselves are nice, but the section of the property near the Lockhill Selma address ( car entry gate 12 section) is not kept up as well as other areas. The laundromat in this section is often out of order, and the nearby one only works sometimes. The gate has been broken for months with little communication about repairs. There are ongoing cleanliness issues, including a lot of dog waste on the grass on every area of the property, the dog park is unkept up with, broken fencing near the Windrush Apartments, and trash bins scattered around the parking lot. Mailboxes in this area have also been broken into more than once. Security and noise are also concerns. Items have been taken from patios, and unfamiliar vehicles sometimes enter t

Living here was truly the most stressful time of my life. Dealing with an apartment infested with ants over the course of my 2 years living here. Management did very little to remedy the issue. Despite 10+ requests for pest control they only came a total of 3 times and the 3rd time being after I asked them to release me from my lease. The apartments are old and the subflooring has weak spots in it that literally feel like a hole in the floor. Cracks and crevices EVERYWHERE made it ever easier for ants and pests to get in. There were squirrels and birds that made a home within my living room wall. The summers are miserable and the ac will go out occasionally or not turn on at all.
