The Penfield

As a former resident, I’m saddened to see the decline of this property. What was once a luxury landmark in Downtown Minneapolis no longer meets that standard. The Village Green was very disappointing, specifically regarding what I consider predatory rent collection practices. Furthermore, the loss of the flagship Lunds & Byerlys slated to be replaced by an Aldi, changes the entire "luxury" feel of the building. Prospective tenants should look elsewhere if they expect high-end service and amenities. I am very happy in Edina now!

Moved here a month ago and we’re loving it so far. It’s super quiet and calm, residents are respectful. The amenities are also really convenient! Special shoutout to Fatima for helping us every step of the way I don’t think we would’ve done it without her, she’s so kind and easygoing it made us feel right at home. 100% recommend.

I had such a positive experience working with Fatima. She made me feel welcome and supported during my apartment search. She is knowledgeable, approachable, and truly cares about the residents’ experience. Since moving in, I’ve seen how hard she works to keep the building organized and to create a sense of community through activities and events. It’s clear she is not only excellent at her job but also a natural leader who brings professionalism and warmth to everything she does. I’m very grateful for her help and I believe the building is extremely fortunate to have someone like her on the team.

Penfield My experience at the Penfield has been dreadful. The leasing manager, Jacob, is one of the rudest and most difficult people i have ever dealt with. Within the 9 months i have lived here we have had a horrible bug infestation (crunching literally thousands of millipedes that cover the floor walls and entry ways, along with making there way into every area of my apartment), which management seems to be uninterested in resolving, a broken garage door for months during the winter which allowed transient individuals into the building. My car was broken into numerous times by said individuals, and coming home at night was often a scary experience. The building itself is modern, clean, and beautifully maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere that immediately made me feel at home. The amenities are fantastic—everything feels upscale and thoughtfully designed, from the common areas to the fitness center. But honestly, what made the tour truly exceptional was working with Fatima, the leasing agent. She is an absolute rockstar—professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely kind.
