Major bug and living conditions issue. Apartment did not take any requests seriously until we called the city for an inspection and they found Paramount liable for uninhabitable living conditions due to not only bug issues but also due to cracks in the ceiling/walls and other issues. When initially addressed with the office about or problems we were told verbatim "Welcome to DC" as if it is normal to live in such conditions. That is an unacceptable response. While the distance to the metro and bus and grocery is convenient, it is not worth the nightmare. This building also has a major squatter issue. You will find to-go boxes and empty bottles in the stair case from people sneaking into the building. No security. No concierge. No loading dock. No real package room. This is overall a terri
I been living at the paramount apartments for a year now and everything has been great living here . with everything close by like cvs, Safeway, bars and a couple of food places Plus the Georgia ave Petworth station literally everything’s near . The maintenance team are awesome and is fast service that’s a plus . Now the leasing team ! They are awesome very welcoming Talisha is the best she has helped me a lot with all my concerns, issues and needs very understanding very helpful and gets the job done. My family and I love it here
I’ve lived here for a little over two years and I’ve gotta say it’s really hit or miss. Even if I love my home and neighbors, I don’t know that I would recommend the building to a friend. Pro: The apartment has a nice lay out that you don’t often find in newer building. The maintenance staff is great and clearly want to help to the best of their abilities (which is important in an older building where stuff needs fixing often). The neighbors I’ve met are incredible and have made this place really feel like a home. Cons: While the all the maintenance/contractors I’ve interacted with have been lovely, It’s clear to me that management is only interested in doing the bare minimum that is legally required of them (and when they can get out of that they will try to). In the last few months the
I’ve lived at Paramount for nearly a year, and overall, the community and the apartment’s structure are wonderful. The neighbors are friendly and always greet one another, which fosters a great sense of community. The maintenance staff is consistently on-site and does their best to resolve issues quickly and professionally, all while maintaining a warm, welcoming presence. However, as other reviews have pointed out, the amenities are limited and often fall short. For instance, the washing machines in the laundry room have been either broken or unreliable for the past two months, leaving us with sometimes just one functioning machine—sometimes none—to accommodate all building residents. Additionally, the package locker is too small to handle all deliveries, which often results in packages
I lived at the Paramount from 2019-2025. Before 2023, my review would have been much higher, but since acquiring Park Place across the street, management response and attentiveness have both suffered. Cons: Other recent reviews have highlighted the issues with the laundry room having broken machines and packages getting stolen. These are definitely issues, but I want to focus on some different issues. 1. Management has been very bad at replying to emails. Emails often go without getting any reply at all. They do an alright job when you visit them in person, but Paramount residents do not have immediate access to managers. The management office is across the street in Park Place, Paramount residents must be let into Park Place. To do this you either need to flag down the receptionis
