The Onyx Apartments

i moved out last april. still haven’t gotten my deposit back like they promised. they let me move out early because of how unsafe it was. fights, gunshots, squatters, everything bad you can imagine. the only saving grace was that their maintenance always showed up right away even if they weren’t good at fixing the issue they at least tried. you can hear your neighbors phone ring that’s how thin the walls were. the pool was empty the whole time even though they said it was about to be refinished when i applied in january 2025

Literally the worst complex in Huntsville. Surprised it’s not government assist. Roach infested, moldy wall, nonchalant staff , wild goose chases for security deposit! DO NOT MOVE HERE!! It seems normal but after a month the paint can’t hide the mold or bug infestation along with the units being the size of a closet!!

this is the worst apartment complex i have ever stayed in. i pay over $1200 for a bs apartment my second guest bathroom shower has NEVER worked and i put in maintenance request months ago i have been here since may. currently my heat is not working and i have a 7 month old baby then we are supposed to have “ Emergency maintenance” and was told no one could come fix my heat until monday. my ceiling constantly leaks water, my toilets constantly run without ever shutting off. i would NOT recommend this apartment for anyone.

Brandon Bowles was the nicest and sweetest. He went above and beyond. He deserves a raise.

We have not had consistent AC since we moved in April. I have filed service request after service request to fix our AC. Onyx has never fixed it, and it will fail after only a week or two. Further, our freezer has not shut since August 4th. Maintenance told me it was because there was a box in the way, ripped the tape off of our freezer (which was what was being used to keep it shut), and left. I walked into my apartment later to my freezer door open and more $$ food lost. We are now going on 8 weeks of not having a working freezer. As a result of our freezer not working, we bought our own upright freezer - only to have it dented a week after purchasing it by Onyx’s maintenance.
