Cheap Innovation: Patio door blinds are flimsy - a third fell off in one year. “Renovated” units hide old infrastructure. Air ducts were caked with dust; my daughter developed breathing issues. If you have asthma or allergies, beware. Constant Noise: Every footstep upstairs = loud creaks. No cement between floors. Thin walls and connected vents mean you’ll hear full conversations and music from neighbors. Smoke Issues: Shared vents = marijuana and cigarette smoke drifting into your unit. Open the patio door? It rushes in. Huge issue if you have asthma, pets, or kids. Parking & Towing Nightmare: Lots fill up by 9:30 pm. Spaces are so tight you risk daily door dings. Guest passes max at 2 days and run out by Monday night. The middle building has the most parking, but A1 Towing is relentle

I lived at this property, but my experience with the leasing office management was very poor. Whenever we had an issue and asked the manager to resolve it, our concerns were often ignored, showing a lack of respect toward tenants. The most serious issue has been my security deposit, which was supposed to be mailed within 30 to 45 days after move-out. It has now been almost three months, and the deposit has still not been sent. I have called many times, but most of the time no one responds, and when they do, they say they need to speak with the manager. Instead of resolving the issue, they continue to make excuses and delays. Being told it would take another three to four weeks is completely unacceptable, and due to this lack of professionalism and accountability, I do not recommend renting

I am extremely frustrated with the management and maintenance in this building. The closet rack in my master bedroom broke off the wall, causing all of my clothes to fall onto the floor. I immediately reported it. A third-party contractor came to patch the wall and said maintenance would return the same day to reinstall the rack — no one came. The next day, I called the office multiple times. Many calls went unanswered, and the office is frequently closed. When I finally reached someone at the front desk, I was told maintenance would come — again, no one showed up. On the third day, I spoke directly with the manager, who said the supervisor would come. I asked for a timeframe and was not given one. No one came. My clothes have been sitting on the floor for three days because of their l

I moved to VA from out of state and also manage an apartment community nearby; my experience has been rocky since the moment I applied. My partner and I applied on a Friday and the following Monday, the price changed because we "hadn't sent all supporting documents yet"... Our app was entered, $350 paid and the documents were sent THAT MONDAY, within 48 hours of applying. They were gracious enough to waive our app fees, but this was already a red flag. We were desperate to move before everything was shut down due to COVID, so accepted the increase. When we moved in, the HVAC did not work and the unit was not cleaned well, but overall the upgrades LOOKED nice. The patio blinds began to fall off every time we opened them or the patio door and my partner (who also works in maintenance) would

At first, it seems like you’ve found an amazing deal on an apartment in Alexandria. But if you haven’t signed the lease yet, consider this a warning. The biggest issue? Noise. If you’re on the first or second floor, be prepared for constant disturbance from above. This isn’t just regular footsteps—it’s loud, nonstop thudding that makes it impossible to relax. It’s clear that during renovations, they installed cheap flooring without fixing the subfloor, making every single step from upstairs sound like it's happening right next to you. And then there’s the parking situation, which is an absolute nightmare. They only issue one parking sticker per unit, no matter how many residents live there. If you have a second car, your only option is to get a visitor permit from the leasing office—ever
