The Novella Apartments

I can’t say enough positive things about living at the Novella. We’ve been here for almost two years, and it has truly felt like home. The management team is excellent—Jamie and Andreas are true professionals, incredibly friendly, responsive, and consistently go above and beyond to help in any way they can. Thanks to Gary’s dedication, the building is always safe, clean, and well maintained, and the amenities and recent renovations have only added to its overall appeal. With Yale’s downtown campus, top-rated restaurants, and the Shops at Yale just a few short blocks away, the location can’t be beat.

I’ve been living at Novella for 8 months now, and it has been a great experience. The building is always clean, well-maintained, and has solid amenities that make everyday living comfortable. The team here is friendly and professional—especially Jamie, who helped me through a challenge I was facing—I’m truly grateful for her support. Maintenance has also been excellent; I’ve only had one request since moving in, and it was taken care of the same day. Another great feature is the shuttle access to the Yale School of Medicine, where I work; the Gold Line during the day and the Blue West at night. I’ve been living here for 3 months now, and it has been a very positive experience. The building is clean, safe, and comfortable, with good amenities including a gym that makes daily life easier. The team has also been great to work with. When my washing machine stopped working, the issue was resolved very quickly thanks to Andreas from the team, and Jamie has always been understanding and helpful. For anyone studying or working at Yale Law School, the location is excellent. It is just a short 7-minute walk away, and there are several restaurant options nearby, as well as a supermarket (Stop & Shop) and pharmacies within easy reach.

I’ve been here for about 3 months now and I love my apartment! Having onsite parking is amazing and it’s secure. At the front desk, Jamie and Andreas are always incredibly responsive and on-top of all of their stuff. And they greet everyone with kindness - thank you guys! Also, a shoutout to the maintenance team. They’re always very kind and respectful whenever I have a service request (few and far between). I honestly have no complaints about The Novella and recommend living here. You get the perks of being close to downtown without all of the chaos.

I moved into The Novella in recently and have only positive things to say about living in this community. The building is conveniently located next to all of the Yale academic buildings I need to access, so it was always going to be a top contender. Varying layouts and configurations meet the needs of a solo occupant to a small family. The community room, including the gym was also recently renovated (fall 2025).
