The Motif by Morningside

I just moved in today, and while I plan to update this review as my lease progresses, I am very happy so far. First and foremost, I want to comment on the caliber of the staff. Sara is professional, prompt, and possesses a sincerely genuine and helpful manner. It has been a heartwarming experience. My apartment is lovely. Being on the second floor with two locking barriers (an external door and my unit door) makes me feel much safer than having only one barrier between me and the world. Regarding noise, while I’ve heard the occasional neighborly sneeze, I haven’t experienced any disrespectful or unnecessary noise. The application process was fast and simple. I was very impressed by the reasonable $500 deposit, and Sara even waived my $100 application fee as a courtesy since I had applie

The GM at Motif, Ensenada, is a kind and wonderful community manager. She has surrounded herself with a great staff. Always ready to help, all are friendly and listen to your concerns. Open door policy is awesome. Need to see or talk to the Manager? Her desk is facing the office front door and her ears are engaged. As a tenant for over a year, I had just one maintenance issue which was resolved in a timely manner by the hard working maintenance crew. Lots of dogs and families at Motif, yet it is remarkably quiet and peaceful. Motif has a nice meeting room, workout gym, and pool. All the units in my building had in-unit washer and dryer. A few days ago I renewed my lease. Overall, I felt really good throughout the year. Ensenada has always done a great job taking care of anything I needed. Nothing can be perfect, and although some maintenance issues came up during the year, the speed and efficiency with which they were handled made me feel like I was living in a place where residents truly matter. For being located within the city, the community actually offers many things that are not easy to find elsewhere. Before renewing, I also took some time to explore my options around the area, but it didn’t take me long to decide to renew. Prices within the city are extremely high, and here I am not charged unexplained or unjustified fees. An additional $36 is really nothing compared to other places. I’m happy with my decision. Of

I just recently moved in and have had a great experience so far ! The move in was quick and easy, all the ladies in the office are super helpful and friendly. I will say the apartments are definitely older but have been renovated with new stainless steel appliances that work very well. Parking lots are for residents only & visitors without a visitor parking pass will be booted so street parking is advised for your guest unless you plan ahead for a pass. Excited to see the pool open for the summer as well. Overall a good experience so far.

I lived here for two years, this is one of those "modern" apartments that will cover a hole with duct tape and paint over it. Quite literally. When I moved in, nobody showed me to the apartment and just handed me the key. Additionally, when I moved in, the place was not cleaned at all. The previous owner had a dog and there was urine all over the door and the apartment smelled horrible. I also had an issue while living there where someone tried opening my window and there was visible evidence of someone trying to pry it open with a crowbar. Despite all of the signs at the apartment that say video monitoring, there are no video cameras and there appeared to be no intention of ever setting up working video cameras. I also had several incidences of someone taking my packages from my doorstep
