The Met Apartments

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! This property is beyond ghetto, poorly managed and not safe. The front door to gain access to your apartment has been busted and duct taped shut for months, with a sign that directs people to walk all the way around to the other side of the building, through the fire escape. The elevator only works off and on and has been a serious issue since the building opened. Their certificate of occupancy expired 8/1/25 and it’s 10/21/25, providing further support they do not keep up with the maintenance on this property. The SWAT Team and K9’s are here almost every night around 3am, trying to apprehend a violent felon who lives right next door. I’ve spoken with Daniel and Janey about this multiple times, and they assured me “ they’re working on it”. Their background checks are

Besides the apartment not being deep cleaned when we moved in, we had no complaints. Staff is kind and thorough. Paying rent is easy. Love that the building is locked at night for safety. You can hear some noise from neighbors but never anything crazy. They communicate about the parking situation when you move in, so it’s not a surprise that only one person can park in the lot. The area is super cute with all the art shops!

I lived in this apartment complex for about a year and a half, and my experience was consistently frustrating from the very beginning. When I first signed my lease, I was explicitly told that I would need to set up my own internet service, which I did—at a discounted introductory rate since it was my first time with the provider. A few months later, the complex suddenly decided to take over internet services. This change resulted in me losing my discounted rate and having no real choice but to switch, despite having made arrangements based on what we were originally told. Security was another major issue. For months at a time, the main front door that was supposed to require a key fob simply didn’t work and remained unlocked. The same thing happened with the mailroom. These are basic sec

It’s honestly unfair that this complex only allows one parking permit per lease, even if there are two adults on the lease or you live in a two-bedroom. One parking space for multiple adults just isn’t realistic.What makes it worse is that the police officer who lives in the main building is allowed to park three vehicles in the lot .. his personal truck, his squad car, and his girlfriend’s car. Two of the three doesn’t even have parking stickers, yet he’s never been towed. Meanwhile, other residents are expected to strictly follow the rules or risk getting towed. It definitely feels like there’s a double standard here, and it’s frustrating to see rules enforced for some tenants but not others.

My family and I have truly enjoyed our experience living at The Met so far. The office staff and maintenance team are so welcoming, timely, and professional. The apartments are beautiful. I love the open concept floor plan and the natural lighting is a HUGE plus. I couldn’t be happier with our decision to move here!
