The Melwood Apartments

I lived here for 3.5 years and absolutely loved it. The walls are so thick the only time you can hear people is if they are in the hall which is awesome. The roof has amazing views. The location cannot be beat and is quieter than you would expect with it being so close to the main strip of admo. 3 grocery stores within 5 minutes. all the food options you could ever want. Also the maintenance is SO FAST. sometimes they respond to things same day and always do an amazing job. Never waited over 24 hours for maintenance to be complete. Also Lauren in the office is so lovely and makes the place even better. Sad i had to move out of DC and leave this place otherwise i never would have

I love my studio apartment at The Melwood that I recently moved into. It has great views of the city, is well insulated from the surrounding Adams Morgan noise, and has really nice hardwood floors and appliances. Prices are very fair in the context of the DC rental market, especially with utilities included in rent. Additionally, the rooftop, fitness room, and bike storage are all really nice amenities to have immediate access to. Lastly, securing my apartment, moving in, and asking for help has all been very easy with the professional and kind staff at The Melwood!

I have been living at The Melwood since the last 20 months. My experience has been very comfortable. Lennard and Lauren are exceptionally helpful and address any issues very promptly. They are communicative and ensure that residents' apartment needs are met. They answer all questions asked. Additionally, the maintenance team comprising of Miguel and Carlos provide excellent assistance. They fulfill requests in a very timely manner and one never has to worry about following up. I highly recommend staying at The Melwood.

I’ve lived here for 2 years and love it! The location is amazing, management team is super nice, and maintenance team is so helpful (shoutout Miguel and Juan Carlos). The building is old but I view it as a bonus because the hardwood floors are beautiful and walls are super thick so I never here my neighbors! Overall 10/10 building🤩

I’ve been at the Melwood for almost 4 years now and it is definitely 5 stars for its price point. It’s an older building in a big city, so of course it will have its share of issues like any other — but the rent is reasonable and the building upkeep is thorough and often. However, the real value about the Melwood / Bernstein mgmt is the staff. Len, Miguel, Elsie, Carlos and more are what really make this building a home to myself and so many others. They’re all kind, hardworking, and understanding. Maintenance requests are attended to extremely promptly and even emergency maintenance is fast on nights or weekends as needed. I have friends in other Bernstein properties who all have had nothing but good things to say about their buildings and staff. Before moving to dc, I even created a s
