The Madison at Bishop Arts Apartments

Love this complex: located in a great area for walking to restaurants and stores, maintenance requests have always been timely, the rooftop has a great view, and everyone is very friendly. The noise from the street can be loud on weekends but that is to be expected for this area, so just a personal preference for someone who might want a quieter location. Would recommend to friends looking for an affordable, walkable location.

If you are looking for a 5 star living experience, your search is over. The property manager herself takes time out of her busy day to answer the phone and respond to emails, which is nearly unheard of in this age of AI and off site call centers. This cute and well kept boutique property is walkable to all things Bishop Arts, and the prices are 🔥. It's a must see. You will NOT be disappointed!

DO NOT MOVE HERE. I moved out on 7/8 and it is now 9/30 — almost 3 months later — and I STILL have not received my deposit back. I’ve been calling nonstop since August just to chase down money that should’ve been handled weeks ago. On 9/11, the manager, Maria, told me the check was sent and I’d have it in 10–15 business days. Today, 9/30, after I had to call AGAIN, I was told the check was actually stopped and never even sent out. And guess what? Nobody bothered to communicate that to me. This place clearly has no regard for their residents, their money, or basic professionalism. Imagine paying rent on time every month, then having to beg and chase for YOUR OWN MONEY back for months. I am very disappointed by The Madison. Management is rude and dismissive, packages go missing with no consequences and EVERYTHING is always broken (call boxes, garage doors etc.). They will nickel and dime you on EVERYTHING when you move out including a $122 paint fee with no visible damages. I was also charged per hole despite me filing and sanding down every minor hole with the explanation "holes not filled in enough". My apartment was spotless yet I was still charged with a large cleaning fee. When I went to management about my hefty move out fee I was scoffed at and told I would be sent to a collections agency and this be put on my record for 7 years if the fee wasn't paid. Amazing apartment! Staff are super friendly and always helpful and the building is kept in great shape, there is always staff earning constantly and they always come right away for any maintenance or anything needed! Definitely a great spot to live!!
