The Linc

This is the 11th floor, and I am paying $1805. The management has changed thrice in like 7 months, and my house is infested with mice. Despite telling them a million times about my health problems related to mice, they are not doing anything about it. Maintenance guy came, looked as much as I did, and nothing afterwards. Gave me sticky traps to place myself. They claim that pest control comes every Wednesday, but honestly, it’s useless even if they do come. Moreover, everytime you ride the elevator, you’ll feel like you’ll fall for sure. Also, they keep the trash in the hallways and the entire building smells like trash basically. Please do NOT make the mistake of moving here

Scheduled an apartment tour today. None showed up to meet me. None answered the leasing office phone. The front door buzzer says “call failed” when selecting leasing office. The email is answered by an AI that fails to recognize the situation I describe. Disrespectful and unacceptable. If this is the treatment during the sales phase, I can only imagine how bad it is once they have you locked into a lease contract. Pass.

My wife and I moved to Rochester and lived at The Linc for 1 year. I was 6 hours away on Long Island and relocated for a temporary work assignment. Renee walked us through the application/leasing process completely remotely, sent us photo/video of our apartment, and was always available from the beginning. She definitely helped our big move go as smoothly as possible. We arrived to a very clean and beautiful apartment. I loved the apartment, Renee and the maintenance crew were always very responsive and quick to help with anything. Our neighbors on the 8th floor were quiet and very friendly. We left the apartment clean, exactly how we received it. We got our security deposit returned a couple weeks after our move out. I lived at the Linc for three long years. Here are a few of my favorite things about the Linc: A disconcertingly large number of tenants don’t put their garbage in bags and just leave rotting food exposed in the garbage rooms. The result - a mice problem and a constant smell of rotting garbage throughout the building. Nothing like coming home from working all day and being knocked over by the smell of rotting trash…to the point where I have dry-heaved on more than one occasion. Management is unwilling to take the measures necessary to put an end to this problem. Instead, a couple times a year they leave nastygrams under tenants’ doors threatening to put up cameras in the garbage rooms…yet the problem continues and the cameras still aren’t installed. The staff and leasing office was very nice and friendly. However, I toured several apartments and each one was filthy. You need to download multiple phone applications to even get into your unit. Also because they rent out a space, staff said there are a lot of people that come and go. There is no secure place for packages; the package room is a bunch of miscellaneous packages thrown all over a small dark closet. The community spaces were nice as well as the fitness center. However, the experience just wasn’t the best.
