The Langdon at Walnut Park

Yesterday I visited The Langdon while looking for a new place, and I was really impressed. The front desk person, Jashua (or Joshua), was super helpful, he was assisting two other residents at once but still made time to greet me and give me a walk-in tour. He was very welcoming, clear, and easy to talk to. The apartments are spacious and surrounded by greenery. You can’t hear the neighbors through the walls, and I love that each unit even has a doorbell! The location is also great, close to Walnut Creek and Chinatown, perfect for walking the trails and getting fresh produce.

We relocated from Arkansas to Austin because of a job. We were looking for a place that feels like a home even though we were going to be renting. We toured 8-10 different places and as soon as we saw Langdon we forgot about everything else and had our heart set in it. The application process was smooth and Joshua was very good about addressing all our question and concerns throughout the process. The view of walnut park from our apartment is breathtaking. We enjoy our morning coffee on the balcony everyday and weekends at the swimming pool. I love the fact that I get to enjoy the view of greenery while I work out and how everything is well kept and maintained here. After I moved in, David responded to several maintenance requests within 12 hours of me opening them, on Christmas Eve. He was courteous, a great communicator, skilled and finished everything within a cpl hours. Joshua has also been excellent from day one - greeting me, helping with paperwork and onboarding and resolving 100 different questions or requests I had along the way. Skye quickly assisted me one of those times and was also kind. The grounds are clean, the pool has a vibe, the management is top notch, maintenance is maintaining at a high level and neighbors seem cool. Do not move here. Seriously. If you are thinking about signing a lease, take this as your warning. I wish someone had been this direct with me before I moved in. We have had multiple serious issues, and what makes it worse is how little this property seems to care once you are locked into a lease. 1. “Gated” parking is not secure My car was broken into twice. Twice. After the first break in, you would think management would tighten security, check cameras, fix access issues, communicate with residents, or do literally anything that signals they take safety seriously. David is absolutely amazing! Every time we’ve needed maintenance in our apartment, he has been incredibly responsive, professional, and efficient. He makes sure everything is fixed properly, and leaves the area spotless afterward going above and beyond. We truly appreciate all his hard work. Thank you, David!
