Shevy is the leasing specialist that I worked with during the touring and application process. She is the absolute best because she has been patient (with me), knowledgeable and sensitive to my needs including move in day. I have now had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with the other young lady and she was just as pleasant, supportive and knowledgeable.

The staff at this property has been extremely unprofessional. During a recent interaction, Miss Jackson told me that she has the master key to my unit in a manner that I perceived as threatening. This statement has made me feel unsafe in my residence. I am very concerned about this behavior and would like this matter addressed immediately. In addition to my previous concern, Ms. Jackson has also spoken to residents in an unprofessional manner. On one occasion, during a public argument, she disclosed the amount of money a resident allegedly owed. Sharing a resident’s financial information publicly is inappropriate and unprofessional.

The surrounding area was clean and will kept up the inside of the building was shining. My visit was welcoming the leasing representatives Ms. Shavey Augustine was kind and very informative she gave me the royal treatment showing me all the great amenities Jamison At the Dakota has to offer. The vibe was peaceful.

The management team over there is very highly unprofessional. they have all these broken doors and elevators that has access from outside that could lead to inside then on top of that they organization of my packages is crazy and I have to wait almost 10 minutes for security guard to come to get my packages. I will not recommend staying over here. Most definitely will be leaving by the end of my lease.

Applied to rent at The Jamison at Dakota Crossing using a Section 8 voucher. The rental and credit screening did not follow DCHA-approved Section 8 procedures, and I experienced different treatment compared to non-voucher applicants. Actions may indicate bias. Complaints have been filed with DCHA, HUD, and the D.C. Office of Human Rights. Potential renters using vouchers should carefully document interactions and verify that landlords follow proper Section 8 protocols. Filing a Lawsuit asap.
