The Jade at Avondale

Lived here for two years. Definitely not a luxury apartment although they advertise to be. Gates always broken, my neighbor had black mold that took the apartment forever to actually fix. Floor boards were splitting in my unit due to cheaply made floors. The apartment uses cheap flat paint which if you touch too hard with your finger will leave a scuff mark (which they will charge you for in the end). Cracks in the walls. The amenities are not well taken care of. The walls are thin and you will literally hear everything. Trash everywhere in the parking garage annd around the property. The new company mission rock residential that took it over is terrible and is a pain to deal with. The apartment from when I first moved in is going downhill fast. Overall just a let down of an apartment. Sim

I had a great phone experience with Chrishae at The Jade in Avondale. She was very knowledgeable about all of the amenities and the surrounding area, and she took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. Her phone etiquette was excellent — very professional and friendly. The only thing holding me back is that the property isn’t zoned for Decatur schools; otherwise, I would move there immediately. Overall, wonderful experience!

Don't move here at all They use "bait and switch" tactics on amenities and other things . On top of that, the garage gate is broken, safety and security not there since July 2025 been 6 months no action , MANAGEMENT takes zero RESPONSIBILITY . They don’t honor their CONTRACT . Stay away! If you want to WASTE YOUR time in life please come here . Definitely my worst decision of staying here .. be safe don’t even bother to look property also because management will not take any responsibility so useless to come

I recently took over a lease from a friend who had stayed here for a year. While the transfer process was a little tricky at first, Chrisha made it a smooth experience. She gave me a thorough tour of the property and patiently guided us through every step of the lease transfer. She answered our questions clearly, explored different options with us, and made sure we felt comfortable throughout the process. This property has significantly declined since Mission Rock took over management, and I strongly caution anyone considering living here. The hallways, which once smelled clean and well-maintained, now consistently smell like garbage! The move-out process was horrible and disheartening. We were charged excessive and unjustified fees despite there being no damage beyond normal wear and tear. When those charges were questioned, management stated they simply passed along whatever their vendors charged to turn the unit, rather than relying on documented tenant-caused damage. There was no transparency, no opportunity to address issues, management couldn’t care less and constantly threatened to send the charges to collections if not paid immediately.
