The Hale

My fiancé and I just recently moved out of The Hale after almost two years as tenants. Looking back on our entire time there, The Hale truly stands out among hundreds of DC apartments for several key reasons: 1. Cleanliness — every single morning, and often throughout the day, there was a full cleaning team taking care of the lobby and all other common areas. I cannot emphasize enough how pleasant this made the common spaces. Things were well maintained and clean at any given moment. This is incredibly different from many other buildings, where you pay the same ‘common space’ fees but receive dilapidated, dirty spaces. 2. Staff kindness — my fiancé and I were always greeted by the concierges, and on the occasions when we had various apartment hiccups, the leasing team was pleasant to deal

I recently moved in to the Hale, and it has been a very smooth transition so far! I specifically worked with Regi from the leasing office during my transition to DC. He was extremely helpful, always answered my questions, and was excellent when giving me a tour. The apartment is close to the metro, a grocery store, is in a very walkable area. Great experience so far!

I moved into The Hale two months ago and my experience has been absolutely wonderful. From the very beginning, the team made me feel at home. Regi, one of the property managers, gave me a detailed tour of my unit and was an absolute pleasure to work with. He responded quickly to all of my questions and made the entire process feel so welcoming. The Hale truly has a gem in him. The building is beautiful, clean, and secure. Every maintenance request I have submitted has been handled promptly and with care, which shows how dedicated the staff is. Everyone here is genuine and committed to creating a great living experience. I am genuinely so happy to be living at The Hale and highly recommend it to anyone considering a move to DC!

Beautiful building and amenities, poor management. After finding a mouse in my unit, management did not act with urgency, has not been communicative and did not show a great deal of care to respond to this issue. I found and caught a mouse in my unit on Saturday, 10/11/25 and was told by management I was unable to have pest control come until 10/14/25. This was very unsettling but I tried to understand sometimes there is a delay. Management came to inspect the apartment on Monday 10/13/25 and couldn't find a point of entry and said pest control would come the following day. On Tuesday, pest control came and said the same thing but left a note that said proper inspection requires a two week follow-up appointment to see if there was any sign of additional pests -- after two weeks I followed

My time at the Hale was filled with nothing but disappointment. Do NOT move into this building.The only thing my roommate and I wanted out of a new apartment was decent sized windows. We made this abundantly clear to Regina, our leasing agent, when touring units in the Hale. While we could not see the actual unit we wanted to apply for because someone was still occupying it, Regina assured us that the two bedroom model she had shown us was the same in everything but square footage. We were encouraged to look at virtual tours which were 100% accurate to each unit. We did so and everything checked out, so we applied. Come moving day, I am let into our new apartment, on the third floor, and it has BASEMENT WINDOWS. Not only that, but these windows do not open in the living room/kitchen area.
