The Grove

This apartment complex has been one nightmare after another. Our apartment flooded several times when we first moved in and not only was the damage to my property not covered by renters insurance because of the nature of the flooding, but also we were verbally promised a rent concession by the apartment manager that was never fulfilled because we got a new property manager. Further, our front door isn't mounted straight so there's a huge crack at the bottom for bugs to get in, and our washing machine has been broken since the beginning of August and they still haven't fixed it. The whole property only has 1 maintenance person right now, which is down from the usual 2, which still isn't enough and the management company won't let them hire more than 2. The policy is apparently 1 maintenance

This experience was horrible! I was told last minute that my unit won’t be ready less than 24 hours of me picking up my keys. Was given the same unit for $55 more a month. Because i would be homeless otherwise. They claim it’s and upgraded apartment but the fridge self is broke. The stove got stains on it, the pantry door is hanging off. The paint is horrible and the floor is uneven and squeaks when i walk thru the house. Was giving this unit on a last minute notice and had to pay more for it.

I moved here four months ago from out of state, and I’ll admit—I was nervous after reading some of the negative reviews. But I’ve been pleasantly surprised by my experience so far. The rent is affordable, and the location is very convenient for me (I’m not a student). The leasing office staff, especially Vicky and Lupe, have been incredibly kind and professional throughout the entire process. Moving in was smooth and hassle-free. Like many others, I was concerned about the comments on infestations, so I took precautions before settling in. I’m happy to say I’ve had no issues—no bugs at all. Maintenance has also been great—quick, professional, and helpful whenever needed. The only downside is the quality of the paint job; it’s definitely on the cheaper side and marks easily. That said,

I visited The Grove this past weekend and was really impressed—especially with the pool area. The vibe was super relaxing and welcoming. Even Preston, the pool maintenance guy, stood out for being incredibly nice, accommodating, and professional. It’s clear he and the current team take pride in the property. The grounds are now well manicured and maintained something that was definitely lacking under previous management. The improvements are noticeable and meaningful. Because of the positive changes, I feel confident and comfortable having my mom move in. In fact, we’ve already decided—she’ll be moving in within the next two months! I've had a great experience living here! Vicki and Lupe in the office are incredibly welcoming—every time I stop by, they greet me with a smile and are always willing to help. They truly make the community feel like home. The maintenance staff is just as impressive: responsive, professional, and quick to resolve any issues. On top of that, the location is unbeatable—close to everything I need and in a great neighborhood. Highly recommend!
