The Edgewater

I lived here from 2021-2024 and was treated very disrespectfully on many occasions. December 2022 there was a massive flooding incident where ceilings caved in. A hole was left in our ceiling and our floor was dark past January 2023 with no communication. We were told our carpet would be cleaned if we renewed our lease (June 2023) because it got dirty from the flooding but that never happened. Insulation/fiberglass and staining was never cleaned and it was left as pictured for days. They removed the grass and put tarps down in 2021 to put in rocks and nothing was ever done because we are one of the buildings in the back. Eventually the tarp deteriorated. I enjoyed living here overall, even with the ongoing issue of loud upstairs neighbors that I had to report multiple times. The apartment itself was fine, and I appreciated the space while I was there. What I’m disappointed about is the move-out charges. I received only a small portion of my deposit back, with deductions that just don’t make sense. I was charged over $500 for “fireplace tiles,” even though I never once used the fireplace during my entire lease. I was also charged for a drip pan and for carpet cleaning that felt excessive considering the carpets were not in bad shape. Move-out charges should be fair and based on actual wear and tear caused by the tenant - these didn’t feel that way. It left a frustrating final impression after an otherwise decent stay.

-My car got broken into along with others verified by the office just about 3 months ago? Maybe two. Read other reviews and u see it’s a consistent pattern over the years . -$400 towing fee. They come every single night so make sure you don’t forget to register. I’ve gotten my car towed from my registered car port to my apartment . -They cut the water off every so often for hours at a time. The last time they did it was off for just about 24 hours . Emailed and asked if there was anything they could do and they said contact your renters insurance . -horrible flea problem in the summer. My dog has gotten fleas twice from these apartments in last two years -very strict patio rules!!! Can’t have any curtains or privacy which is sad since we pay for such a small unit and can’t even use it how

Went to ask for some information over their availability. The office staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the property. Considering Edgewater as my next home.

The community is really calm and walkable with a beautiful view. Maintenance is quick and very professional. So far we really enjoy living here 😊
