The Crown of Queen City

Toured this building today and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The apartment had tons of windows and nice views. I like the art installations and decorations in the common areas. Definitely not cookie cutter!

The leasing office and maintenance staff at The Crown are a 10/10! Super helpful and respond very quickly to questions or requests. I have really enjoyed my time living here so far. The common areas are stunning and consistently clean. Bonus: Every guest I have to my home always comments on how clean the apartment building looks and smells. The location is perfect. For all these reasons, I am willing to pay a slightly higher rent!

Read the other one star reviews for an accurate portrayal of this complex, all the 5 star reviews from prior to the recent management change are not relevant. Since the complex was bought by the new manager Avenue 5, everything is straight into the toilet. Just a few of the major problems. Really poor management that always seem like its their first day on the job and poor communication. Takes a month to get a response from them (IF they respond). Even if you go in person they are not helpful at all and are just trying to get rid of you. Dirty complex and long maintenance turnaround. Not to mention once your lease is over they will try to force you into a 10% rent increase to renew with zero explanation about why. The money obviously isn’t going to running the complex well. Saturday night I got assaulted by 5 white guys directly in front of this building and I am doing my own due diligence to obtain police camera footage while cops work on the police report and try to get leads of where my assaulted fled. That is not why I am writing this review. I am writing this review because as my blood til this moment lies on the sidewalk from getting assaulted, and my eye is swollen shut with a busted lip I muster up the confidence and strength to go back to the location of the crime scene. Whoever the caucasian brunette lady that was working at the leasing office on Monday January 12, 2026 at 3 P.M. needs to be seriously let go. Lived here for 2.5 years and found it a lovely place to live. The staff are friendly and attentive, the amenities clean and usually open, and the location was unbeatable. Only struggle was definitely the overall lack of parking in the garage for residents and guests alike, but that’s an issue you’ll face anywhere in south end or uptown. My move in and out when extremely smoothly and I would recommend living here to anyone looking around!
