The Crossing at Jamaica Station - Queens Apartments

Garbage not collected daily from garbage room, chute backed up for days, roach problems exterminator comes but unless you do it yourself you can't get rid of the infestation. Laundry room machines broken, carts missing, laundry left for weeks in bags or machines. Patio decorated with urine bottles that's the view from the laundry room. Rugs are filthy. Many problems for a brand new buildings. Nothing luxury about it!!!

This place has a serious cockroach infestation. I have found egg casings in the hallway where trash was left on the carpet. The trash room is not cleaned as often as it should be, and the overall condition of the building has continued to deteriorate. It is difficult to reach building management by phone, which adds to the sense of neglect. Although the building is marketed as “affordable,” much of that affordability relies on residents receiving housing subsidies, which is not an issue in itself. The issue is that properties like this are often run by slumlords who take advantage of subsidized tenants by allowing conditions to decline while continuing to collect guaranteed rent. So far I have not had a problem. Our refrigerator was not getting cold enough and almost immediately after submitting a service request the refrigerator was replaced and also the lock on our door was giving us a problem with a service request it was taken care of. The only issue I have is the front door to get in that they fixed. One side said exit from the inside but if you want to get in anyone from the outside just simply walks up and the door opens. The only way one should be able to get in is with there FOB in which the crossing has send emails they say use it to get in. Should the wrong person get in and hurt someone that is a lawsuit waiting to happen that is also why there should be two doorman on each shift that way if one takes a break or have to help a tenant get something out o

I’ve lived in this building for almost three years and have watched it go downhill. The people here are disgusting, dropping things and leaving them in the hallway, elevators. The janitor will come and shampoo/vacuum the carpets and the very next day it will look like nothing was done. People smoke in their apartment when it’s suppose to be a non-smoking building. The front entrance door is always broke no matter how many times they try to fix it. Can barely use the laundry room because tenants will leave their clothes in the washer for days like it’s their personal machine or majority of the machine will be broken. Update: DO NOT MOVE HERE. Roach infestation, unprofessional staff, dirty with unreliable maintenance, and located in bad area. The quality of the building has seriously declined in the span of 1.5 years and it’s basically turned into the projects. All types of characters live in the building and the cops are there at least 3-4x a week, there’s always some drama happening within the building. I would not recommend this building to ANYONE. I am seeing mostly negative reviews and while some are true, I think that everybody has their own experience depending on what floor they live on. I personally have never seen any roaches or have had to kill any bug in my apartment and I have lived here for over a year. When I contact maintenance for issues, they fix it the next day and sometimes the same
