The Creeks on Kirklevington, commonly known as just The Creek, is my apartment complex. I have resided here for almost a year. I enjoy living at The Creek for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, because of the location, living right off new circle on Tates creek road is one of the most convenient places to live in all of Lexington. There are many shops and restaurants around including Tates creek Kroger for groceries, and the Fayette mall all within five minutes drive, as well as easy access to anywhere in Lexington via New Circle road close by. Another reason I love the Creek is the amenities offered. As you can see in my photo the creeks has a great central area with everything you’d expect from an apartment complex including a gym with everything you need, a nice pool and a grill for barbe
I want to thank Ty from maintenance for his outstanding help. He kindly assisted me with removing ice from my car and helped move it when it was stuck in the snow. He didn’t leave until I was fully taken care of. His willingness to go the extra mile is greatly appreciated. GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE
Original post: Maintenance has been prompt, but does not follow requests sometimes. Move in was terrible for the price of the rent. Apartment was left in a disgusting state, when we’d been assured it would be cleaned after the last tenant moved out. Management was understanding, after seeing pictures, but for the price point of this rental, we were very disappointed. Update following moving out (7/2025): In the week leading up to my move out, my apartment nearly caught on fire. The HVAC circuit board shorted and caught on fire (see new picture). Luckily, I was home at the time and turned off the breakers. However, the emergency maintenance did not have a fast response and I ended up calling 911. The fire chief then proceeded to tell me that this was a recurring problem in my building and
This past weekend, Lexington was hit with a winter storm leading to many cars getting stuck in parking spots due to ice. I went out this afternoon with a shovel and hammer in the hopes of freeing my car from its icy clutches. The ice was extremely thick and my hammer could only do so much. Maintenance man Tyler, after helping another resident with their car, saw me struggling and came over to help. What would have taken me literal hours to do, he managed to chip away the ice in 15 minutes! He even backed my car out of the spot into one that was less icy so I could get out later. I am extremely grateful to Tyler for helping me, as well as the rest of the maintenance men working to get the parking lot/side walks cleaned! Again, thank you so much!
This complex is not only a slum but the management, including the new manager Jenn, are horrible people. Every bad review you read here is spot on. When my daughter and I toured this place, the model was so nice. The hot tub was a big draw. The day she moved in was an enormous disappointment. The carpet was old, smelled like wet dog, and mold. The place was dirty, the dead bolt was broken, the toilet was full of mold, the balcony was unsafe, and the fire escape was sketchy. We reported all of these thing to Taylee, which were disregarded. She claimed she signed off on the cleaning after the last tenant. She either does have a nose or she lives in filth. I even asked her, would you be ok living with place the way it is right now? The hot tub was no longer functioning with no plans to fix.
