The Coda on Crouse

To start, most of the appliances have had multiple problems in the only 6 months I have lived here. The kitchen sink has fallen out of the counter twice. Maintenance takes days to fix anything. Everything in the apartment feels like it was made of the cheapest possible stuff. There is 0 soundproofing between floors, but what is most upsetting, in my opinion, is the fire alarm. It goes off at least once a week, if not up to 5 times a week, including in the middle of the night. It has gone off probably 30+ times since I moved in only 6 months ago, and never once has there been a real fire, and management could seem to care less about punishing the people who keep setting it off. Overall, it’s just like most of the overpriced junk apartments that surround the university.If I could give it 0

We had the best experience working with Khiary to get our daughter’s apartment arranged for next fall. He was always quick to return calls, was patient with our endless questions and plan changes, and knowledgeably saw us through the lease process. From the moment we first called The Coda to inquire about leasing, we were met with the friendliest, most helpful team — truly the BEST! Every staff member knows the names of all the tenants (and there are hundreds), which makes you feel like you’re part of a small, close-knit community. They genuinely understand what community means, and it shows every time you walk through the door and are greeted with smiles and cheerful hellos. The interior design of the building is just as impressive as the people. The lobby and common areas are beautifully and thoughtfully designed, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This complex has great potential, but it needs some attention. One of the main selling points—the pool and hot tub—lacks a consistent schedule, which is frustrating considering how much we pay in rent. It seems to be closed more often than not. Residents should be able to rely on amenities being open and usable whenever we want. The pool deck and water still have leaves from the fall, which makes the area look messy rather than the relaxing, high-end space it could be. The courtyard lighting, which added a nice ambiance when I moved in, has been out for a while now and still hasn’t been replaced, which really changes the feel of the space.
