Visited The Chesapeake Apartments while apartment shopping and had a great experience. Allison was my leasing consultant and she was welcoming, extremely knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions. She also introduced me to the property manager, Latoya, who was just as kind and helpful. You can really tell they care about what they do. If I were truly in the market for an apartment, I would absolutely consider moving here not just for the community itself, but for the staff alone.

Marquia did an amazing job! 5 out of 5 ⭐️ highly recommend her help touring both the Chesapeake & the Saratoga on her journey as the Leasing Manager. Shout out to Blazion too. Thank you!

Dirty, smelly, cockroach ridden. High crime around the area with constant police presence. Please tell me why a couple months ago there was a whole team of Federal Marshalls were here to "capture a fugitive" that was living in this building. Also, once there was a guy who just camped out in the lobby, took a picture of me, and then was arrested a few days later. I felt really unsafe. The construction is shoddy, and the building is quite old. There were periods this past winter were the heat went out completely and it was freezing in our apartment for days. Not impressed at all. The security they hire are really nice guys though. The courtyard is a really nice feature, probably the only redeemable feature of this place. I'm sure management is doing the best they can, but Horning Brothers c

The worst apartment I've ever lived in. Lobby and shared area always smelled bad and had sketchy people hanging out. The people at the leasing office barely know how to do their job and run an apartment building (when I was a college student I worked in an apartment leasing office... it's not hard). When I called to ask basic questions no one in the leasing office or desk could answer my questions even though it is their job, I always had to be transferred to someone else. They got rid of security who would sit in the lobby so that probably increased the crime in the building and area in general (and the security they had when I left was only stationed there occasional so it wasn't even reliable). When we needed our tub reglazed the professional they hired to do the work got chemicals all

I spent two years living here, and I loved it! My studio felt cozy, and the property as a whole was well-kept. Occasionally I had trouble getting packages, but that happens sometimes when a single mail room handles mail for two buildings. They were actually in the process of setting up a new package handling service around the time I moved out, so I imagine that has changed. Maintenance was always friendly and quick to check out any issues I reported. The building is also only accessible via key fob, and there is on-site security, which helped me feel even safer. The only issue I truly had was that the paint/plaster on my bathroom wall kept bubbling up and peeling quite badly. Maintenance had the bathroom repaired and repainted twice before installing a new window that I could open when I
