The Boardwalk Luxury Apartments

Don’t recommend renting here. The management is not great at all, they don’t know how to handle any issues. Also, just because they’re gated it means nothing, the gates for pedestrians don’t even have locks half the time leading to homeless always coming in or out and they often just stay by the dumpsters. Any vehicle can easily get in right after a residents vehicle since the gates stay open for a long time or they go in through exists as there’s no other safety precautions. The maintenance takes days to get worked on. I also never received my packages. The way the apartments are set up is horrible and there’s no maps for the delivery people, therefore you’re bound to never receiving your packages. They considered themselves dog friendly yet there’s no designated area for dogs, just moldy

Exceptional brand new apartment complex with Gated community. Opened in September 2019. Good 2-3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms floor plans with washer and dryer included plus new stainless steel appliances. Lots of parking spots and outdoor pool with barbecue pit. Also includes gym and kids outdoor playground. Management is very cooperative and awesome folks. Night security watch included. Very quiet neighborhood and nice living residents. Walking distance to Costco, CVS pharmacy, Starbucks and other small shops. Also few blocks to gas station and car wash service

Absolutely should've listened to everyone else about being robbed out your deposit. We had Myka come and do a walk through before we moved out and she literally told me there was a few things here and there but nothing major and we took care of the apartment well. I always ensure to leave the places we moved in the exact same way if absolutely possible. Yes our apartment had wear and tear here and there like any normal apartment after living there a year, but I took pictures before leaving and can assure you, it didn't look hardly any different at all. Yet somehow we OWE over 500 dollars? For 450 dollars for cleaning? 485 for PAINT??????? Mmmm, nope. That is not going to fly. We will be contacting and fighting this. I do not recommend living here! This apartment complex is not “luxury” it is very cheaply made. The walls are very thin so you can hear literally everything your neighbors are saying. The doors have gaps under so all bugs can creep in from outside and your apartment will either be very hot or cold due to the large gaps under the doors so no air stays in. It is gated but people always have access and these apartments are not in a very safe part of Bakersfield so your car will get broken into. You will constantly hear cars drive by from Panama. If you can afford “luxury” please go to an actual luxury apartment complex! Also maintenance and management is no help and sucks!!

I moved out of my apartment a year ago, and Myka conducted my walk-through. I left the apartment in the same condition it was handed to me and even took many photos for reference in case there were issues with my deposit. During the walkthrough, Myka mentioned only a few minor things needed to be done, nothing major. When I finally received my deposit, I was shocked—I only got $50 back out of more than $900. They claimed the money was spent on “cleaning,” which feels like a complete rip-off. My carpets and walls had no damage, nothing needed repair, yet they charged my entire deposit for cleaning. It feels like they simply profit off tenants’ deposits instead of being fair.
