Do NOT move here. Posting this review is my last resort. This place is the pits. There is 0 management and no way to get in touch with the company that owns this place to let them know about your concerns. This place is a dump, overrun by kids who aren’t supervised and people who don’t respect where they live. Most important, in my lease and online they advertise that there is security. I’ve been here 1.5 years. The first few months, we shared a single security guard with another building 10 minutes away. The guard was useless. It’s been about a year since we had any security at all, and we’ve had issues where the fobs don’t work and anyone could walk in the building- which is absolutely insane. The garage doors keep getting broke (by residents) resulting is no secured parking even though
Once again the Bixby has descended into an almost unlivable situation. 1) They replaced our friendly Concierge with an ***Armed*** Guard who does not retrieve packages or welcome visitors but instead roams the hallways rather than sitting at the front door. (See first photo). 2) The package room is now open to any resident with a digital key, and the packages are all accessible (see second photo). This is almost certainly going to result in package theft/mixups. 3) Perhaps worst of all, there is no way to reach management! They are never in the office, their phone is not manned, their emails have been disconnected. I hope management sees this review and realizes they need to reinstate the concierge, remove the armed guard, and keep the package room secure. The floor plans, the rates, an
I was a resident at this building and took extensive videos of a well - maintained and clean apartment when leaving, as well as a picture of myself turning in my forwarding address to the front desk. Tenant's rights in District of Columbia demand that the deposit be returned within 45 days of the lease ending, and if not returned fully or partially a notice should be sent stating the reason for lack of refund. After 45 days, I received nothing and contacted the property multiple times via email and messages. Once I finally reached an employee, the property claimed I owed several thousand in rent which they admitted was a mistake after further review, and that the deposit should have been returned. Almost two weeks later, still no deposit and I cannot get a resolution to this problem. I abs
I had a very frustrating experience trying to apply to The Bixby. I scheduled a virtual tour through their website but never received a link or follow-up. When I called, I was cut off mid-sentence and told they “don’t do virtual tours,” despite it being an option online. From there, communication only got more confusing—after applying, I was given access to the resident portal with documents to sign (including a lease and renters insurance) even though I had never received a lease offer or clear next steps. When I called to clarify, the staff seemed unsure how to answer my questions and gave vague, inconsistent information. At one point, I was told, “I’m sorry you’re a little bit confused,” in a condescending tone, without actually addressing my concerns. Overall, the process felt disorga
I’ve lived at the Bixby for a little over 2 years, and have been through 3 management teams. The current management team is great - so kind, easy to deal with, and truly want to take care of the building and the tenants. I have had the same maintenance team for a little over 4 years (my last apartment complex shared maintenance and management with the Bixby), and Jason and the maintenance team have been incredible. They have always taken care of any issues quickly and professionally, and I felt like my unit and the building were well taken care of. I’m sad to be leaving (moving back to my home state), but I have truly enjoyed living at the Bixby and think it’s a great place for a reasonable price.
