DO NOT MOVE IN HERE. There’s a very hands off approach’s to this building management, unless they need their rent money. My pregnant wife and I thought this would be a great place to start our family and we couldn’t have been more wrong. The self guided tour to view the apartment was the first red flag, and not all of the units we wanted to see were accessible as promised, so we had to wait around. After moving in, the apartment WAS NOT RENOVATED OR CLEANED before our move in date. It was filthy, had dishes in the dishwasher, no smoke detector, or lights. The stove was filthy and had a toxic smell when we first tried to use it, before learning it was never cleaned. Even though you pay Con Ed, you will not have full control over the AC/heating unit. The building chooses the temperate. Our
Ok so not a luxury apartment. Good space and layouts but all appliances and fixtures are super low quality. metallic fixtures are rusted, cabinet contact paper peeling, and black “granite”counters bleed residue every time you wipe so you cannot use for cutting and baking. My continuous problem while living there was the constant ROACHES and managements inability to control the problem. In fact the super will gaslight you and tell you to dry your counters and put food away - when that is clearly not the problem. I've never put so many work orders in any place I have lived - any job is a temp fix. When I moved in I saw a roach the first day and a mouse. I was told it was because they had just sprayed for roaches. The problem stayed my entire time. Never did see another mouse though. There
PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE. Upon moving into our apartment, a one bedroom at $3K, there were roaches and the apartment was filthy; floor and countertops filled with dirt. We had a huge roach infestation within two months of living there while caring for our infant daughter. The response of management was that we should “have told them sooner”. Which we did. While we have since moved, because of this roach issue, we ended up being roaches to our new home, thankfully it has since been irradicated. Not only was our apartment a complete disaster, but the smell of urine and cigarette slaps you in the face in every hallway. It’s utterly unbearable. When we finally moved out of this disgusting building, we were told we’d receive 100% of our security deposit within 10-15 days. It’s been over a month
Clipper equity is the most disgusting management I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They will take your calls and immediately transfer you to dead voicemails purposely. No one is ever in the office and the building manager is never around nor does he care. Recently because of the remnants of a hurricane they were severe leaking in many of the apartments especially mine. How does a apartment on the fifth floor have massive leaking issues the building is only 17 years old. When I called management they didn’t care. Stay away from this building stay away from the building management do not apply here you are a great living here. It is ghetto, you can hear your neighbors breathing, it is not worth the stress or the money.
The carpets are hideous and mildewy, the walls are scuffed and in bad need of painting. The elevators haven't worked properly in 6 months with tenants being stuck inside in need of rescuing SEVERAL times. There's an unstable tenant who threatens people with physical abuse and is verbally challenging to all including children...this has been a year straight now. The hot water in the building fluctuates constantly and is rarely at state required temps. Management is non-responsive about all issues and so veteran tenants are all but gone. Those who move in without reading reviews deserve to be regretful. Most people in this building are. I just left, feels like being paroled.
