The Arbors at Tallwood

I’ve lived here for the past 5 years and I can’t think of a compliant. The managements has changed over time but everyone’s who’s came in has been just awesome, typically have community events for the tenants and again they’re just the sweetest poeple. The trash valet is pretty great tbh, the wooden posts they’ve added helps keeps critters and other strays away from our apartments. Also Harvey the maintenance man/grounds keeper is probably the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. Doesn’t say a lot but when he does he leaves you with a smile indeed. Right off the highway so you can get to DT Austin within 13 minutes and the surrounding neighborhood are really nice to say the less. you aren’t far from an heb/randals, other nice restaurants .All in all I’ll definitely recommend living here.

All told, I loved it here. I hate how MUCH I loved it here, because we knew we weren't in Austin forever, and honestly leaving would have been easier if these apartments were worse. :) Now, less-than-stellar things first, the apartment complex DOES have a few downsides. Part of why it's so affordable is that the buildings ARE a little bit old, and sometimes that shows. Water might be turned off briefly every now and then to fix something in a neighboring apartment, stuff like that. That said, everything about the apartment complex PEOPLE was absolutely fantastic, and more than made up for those minor inconveniences. Lived here for 5 years. Koreen has done a great job managing the property. She organizes many events and really brings a sense of community to the residents. Harvey is a kind, experienced maintenance guy who we went through several ice storms and broken pipes with. Always quick to fix any issues. Office staff Lana and Abby are always great. If you have a choice, the Arbors staff stand apart from most Austin apartments, definitely recommend.

I have lived at The Arbors at Tallwood almost exactly 17 years. Our current management and maintenance team are the best we have ever had. During this past week’s ice storm and loss of power, they were an ever visible presence in the office and out on the property, ensuring the safety and comfort of the residents to the best of their abilities. I want to acknowledge our maintenance team, Harvey and Alex. They worked tirelessly throughout the storm and power outage. I especially want to acknowledge Harvey Martin, the leader of our maintenance team. He is always, especially in times of great need, a reassuring and always cheerful presence. Lived here for over a year starting in 2021 and absolutely, hands down, the best staff and some of the prettiest units out there. In particular, Harvey the maintenance manager is AMAZING!!! Cannot sing his praises enough — he’s quick, efficient, and kind. Not to mention during the winter storm in Feb 2023 he seriously stepped to clear trees, branches, pathways, gates — you name it and he cleaned up after the craziness. Also a major shoutout to Koreen. She is considerate, thoughtful, firm, but fair, and absolutely one of the best property managers in almost 10 years of renting that my family has ever experienced.
