I lived at Alhambra Apartments from 2020 to 2023 before finally moving out. Honestly, those apartments were rough. I feel bad for the people who are just trying to work hard and live their lives—regular folks who depend on low-income housing—but the way those apartments were run made everyone look bad. During my time there, it was nothing but stress and trauma: constant arrests of people living there , people on drugs, and unsafe living conditions. My own unit had mold and leaks, and instead of fixing the problem, management just painted over the mold & mold on windows . The mold even ruined my clothes and furniture. On top of that, they refused to return my deposit, even though the damage was never my fault. This black mold . Be careful don’t let your family live here or you’re self . I

The apartment units are decent and the maintenance team responds quickly for repairs. However, there's a pack of unsupervised kids with really bad behavior, that dominate the complex. They're loud, they swear and say crude things about sex and they congregate in the playground, so they smaller kids can't even enjoy it. Most of the good parents keep their kids inside and use neighborhood parks instead because the bad kids here make the playground and grassy areas unusable due to their behavior, fighting, and drama. In the summer, the pool gets closed for weeks at a time because of incidents related to these kids. Last summer, an apartment was egged and the police were called. I moved to California from Florida last year. I had an amazing experience with my transition. I applied for several apartments in Sacramento and Woodland, and Alhambra was the first and fastest to call me back. Angela, the secretary should be named Angel because she is always very prompt about ANYTHING I've ever brought to her attention. She is always smiling and willing to go the extra mile with things in her scope of practice as well as outside of it. I don't know a person that could do it better. I'm grateful for the beautiful community and amenities.
