Sunset Rock Apartments

The floors above apartment make extraordinarily loud cracking and creaking sounds when the upstairs tenants walk, echoing from the ceilings down into the apartment below. Its loud enough to wake a person from a deep sleep. The sounds are not minor, they are sharp, loud, cracking & popping sounds, and very disruptive, and so long as the upstairs tenants walk around, the sound persists. This was not disclosed prior to signing the lease. Management does not reply or respond to emails/complaints, we have sent 4 messages - zero reply from management. We have left voicemails that have been ignored. And every time we call the leasing office, no one answers the phone. I absolutely love living here. The dog park in the back is wonderful. Never had an issue with excessive noise. Valerie the property manager is very sweet and helpful. Most of our neighbors are quite pleasant. We will absolutely be renewing our lease.

Unprofessional Management & Ongoing Issues Our experience at this complex was filled with poor communication and unresolved issues. We were promised a first-floor unit, but two weeks before moving in (from out of state), we were told it was no longer available and had to accept a second-floor unit. On move-in day, the property manager seemed surprised we arrived. The unit wasn’t ready, was still being cleaned, and the bathtub had been poorly reglazed — which peeled within a month. That spring, we discovered mold growing in our storage unit ceiling. We lost clothing, linens, and furniture due to the mildew. The complex offered no reimbursement, only a move to a smaller, less secure unit — at the same price. The washer stopped working properly and left clothes soaked. Maintenance dismiss

We’re on our third year of living at Sunset Rock and we absolutely love it! The leasing office manager, Val, is the absolute best she’s always there if we ever have any questions/concerns. The community is very welcoming and safe. Any maintenance issues we’ve ever had have always been tended to quickly & it’s always been the same maintenance worker (Benny, who is also awesome) which is comforting when having someone enter your home. The location is great! I would highly recommend this little home to anyone looking!

We lived at Sunset Rock for 1 year and overall had a very positive experience. We felt that Valerie and maintenance were very responsive and we were able to get anything resolved within 24-48 hours. The grounds are cleaned and well maintained which made the environment comfortable. Also, we felt that the complex itself was very quiet. The apartment was in great shape upon arrival which consisted of sanded and newly stained wood floors, newly painted walls, and professional cleaning. We took very good care of the apartment during our time living there and received 100% of our security deposit back within the 30 day timeline after moving out.
