Sunset Pointe Apartments

Attempted delivery of a package to this complex the other day, briefly interacted with leasing office. Was not my best self in that moment. This is an apology, not a review. To the woman from the leasing office who had every right to tell me not to park there (see photos). Had I been calmer, I would’ve simply explained I avoid filling spots residents or disabled people may need/want, to avoid inconveniencing customers/residents with my brief presence while I take ~60-120 seconds to deliver a package. I am sorry for my reaction to your direction. I hope this finds you well, and you are able to forgive my behavior. Perhaps this apology can help guide others not to park there, too 🤔🤞

I lived here on the fourth floor for two years, here is my takeaway. Pros: They’re gated. They keep the courtyard clean and nice. The one bedroom apartment is a nice size and the bedroom is huge! Covered parking was cheap! Cons: The tenants here do not pick up after their dogs. The dumpsters were always full. The designated dog areas smelt of urine and there was always droppings around. There was constant crime - cars were broken into, including mine. There are always suspicious people walking around. I did not always feel safe walking my dogs out past 10pm. The elevator on the west side would always get stuck. The washers and dryers were not always in working condition and the tenants tend to not respect each other’s belongings. I had to take mine to a laundromat all the time because of t

This property states that there are amenities like a pool and on site laundry. Don't count on doing laundry here, the machines are constantly breaking. They get "fixed" and then break again in a couple of days. The pool isn't open when temperatures hit 90+. The elevator is constantly breaking and is down for weeks- a joy when you live on the top floor. The keys and locks don't really work properly. The crime in the area is not great. The building has been shot up here. One day we couldn't even use our car because it was parked out front and in an active crime scene.

I've lived here almost three months. Pest control has been twice, I haven't seen any pests. So they're on it. My apartment is thoughtfully, newly remodeled, I only needed a few trivial repairs. A bathroom fan, and a door sweep to cover the front door gap. And a hot water trickle. Julia and her plumbers were on it, with the upmost courtesy and professionalism. And the repairs are great. Entities on my end held me up from initially moving in. From the beginning office staff have been nothing but kind and proactive. The courtyard is a lovely oasis. Tenants always leave gates open, so there's that, and it's very urban from the noise on Montgomery. But if you grew up in Burque, you've cruised Montgomery, so it's nostalgic.
