Sunrise Palms Apartments

I don't know why Sunrise Palms on this says it's "temporarily closed".....my brother lives here, and has since 2016. It's gone through several ownerships since then as well. It's a clean, decent, gated place....the complaint I have concerns the rent. Sunrise Palms is 55+ and rent restricted...they are supposed to only charge a percentage (30%) of your total income for rent. My brother only lives off his SS Disability, which is slightly less than $1500 a month. When he first moved in his rent was around $500, and with other expenses (electric, gas, food, car upkeep and gasoline, etc.) he was very satisfied that he would be okay. HELP!!!!!!My grandmother has lived at the Sunrise Palms Senior Units for 10 years. No complaints. However, she is very unsettled in her home. The upstairs tenant is straight from hell. She goes to work everyday arriving home late in the evening and has dogs causing a great deal of noise between the hours of 10:30pm-3am. My grandma is 86 years old and this frightens her tremendously, where she has had my daughter SPEND the night with her to GET any REST. She should've FEEL like this in her own home. She shouldn't be scared to be in her own home alone.

Since I have lived here it has changed hands 2 times. The latest a few months ago. We used to have security but no more. Someone tired to siphon gas out my car. I found the gas cap hanging. I was told by my neighbor that someone's apartment was broken into , gas is being stolen, people who don't live here are coming through the gate. Some are using our trash bins to throw big items like furniture into it. It's not the same anymore. It's doesn't feel safe. People are moving out. Front office is always closed when I need to go there.

Sunrise Palms senior apartments. Called 10 times phone always being forward. "Yesenia" the office employee sits in the office and ignore residents and potential residents . One day I got lucky and she answered the phone, I began to inquire about my grandma becoming a new resident she gave me minimal information. I scheduled an appointment for my 70 yr old grandma to do a tour of the property and get clarity on the application process and times available for move in. My 70 yr old grandma arrives for her appointment on time in fact 15 mins early. Yesenia never open the door for her. My grandma sat outside the office waiting for 1 hour in the cold.
