To be honest, the owner of McDougall properties and Stafford Pl., Apartments. He’s actually not a bad guy but as far as the company itself terrible. When me and my roommate first moved in the leasing manager at the time she was from what we heard she was taking the security deposits and application fees from certain customers or a residence or future residence. that was one problem that we ran across and then it happened to affect us during our time. We end up having to go to court because we were being evicted and we had to prove that they were doing an unlawful eviction. We end up winning the case or they threw the case out and they gave us a month for free free rent. Next thing you know that next month literally March this year 2025 our building burned down and none of the residents out

They are cheaper than a lot of other apartments, but so is the quality of everything you get here. The staff is never in the office or picking up the phone. The maintenance requests take forever to be filled and the water gets shut off at least three times a week for a few hours.

The company McDougal Properties along with Stratford place apartments are scammers. I recently submitted an application and was told that a deposit has to be turned in along with the application fee. I didn’t sign a lease for the apartment, I didn’t make any legal promises or obligations to move into this apartment complex. I decided since this unit was not move in ready, and previous tenants belongings were still in here, and that I didn’t want to wait until January 1st I wanted my security deposit back. I was told this deposit was completely refundable, however it was not going to be refunded to me.
