Storyboard on Lancashire

Just moved in with no problems and it was quick and easy with the help of Vanessa who was able to answer all of my questions.

I have been living on Lancashire now owned by Storyboard for two years. The apartments are spacious and I absolutely love living here.

I have been a resident here for almost 4 years and when Storyboard took over I thought great changes were about to happen and some did. They made updates to the buildings, some of the apartments, and installed in new washers and dryers. While I can acknowledge the good changes they have made I do have a problem when it comes to maintenance. I put in four requests in for an issue and each time they came in and fixed nothing. Overall there has been improvements and have better communication after storyboard has taken over. It’s a comfortable and peaceful place to live. While maintenance does answer and comes to help with issues they don’t really end up fixing anything which is my biggest problem.

Updating my review as circumstances changed. I have recently moved out. Do check other reviews for more current information. What changed: Storyboard clarified their maintenance department did not receive the spare keys for all units during the landlord transition. They then offered credit to tenants who cut, copied, and sent a key to them. This likely explains the problems with maintenance tickets remaining open for weeks on end and closing without resolution. I expect this issue will diminish as more unit keys are made. For a new tenant, while it is likely they have a new maintenance key before you acquire your unit, I would advise contacting them to clarify. My previous review mentioned pest control as a problem. Overall, when the new management took over I was hopeful about new changes. However, the apartment I stay in(I’ve lived here for a year) hasn’t received any updates that would make me want to pay an additional $200+ in rent. Even with the building updates, I can’t reasonably justify the rent increase. Washing and drying clothes isn’t even free! Sure, the previous owners fell short greatly, but it’s not fair for tenants to foot the bill. Everyone’s impacted by inflation so that’s not an excuse to mess over loyal tenants. I’m comfortable paying more AFTER appliances, carpet, HVAC and sufficiently updated. The location is the only benefit to staying in these apartments and until further notice I wouldn’t recommend anyone move here.
