Stone Ridge Apartments

My fiancé and I lived in the Stoneridge Apartments for almost 2 1/2 years and loved it! The complex is quiet and clean, the maintenance staff is friendly and efficient and our apartment always felt comfortable. The walls are somewhat thick so we hardly ever heard our neighbors. We loved our balcony that had a view of the forest behind us. It is super nice that you get a carport spot included with your rent and even with that, we hardly ever had any issues finding parking. The pool and the fitness center are small but they are still nice. Being on the 3rd floor was great because we had vaulted ceilings but it did mean that our electricity bill was pretty high during the winter trying to heat all that space with only small wall heaters. I lived here for over ten years, one bedroom unit on the first floor. Moved out a couple months ago, not due to anything negative on Stone Ridge’s behalf, I just wanted to be a home owner. Staff are friendly, responsive and reasonable from my experience, same with the maintenance folks, they responded quickly to requests and seem to have a positive outlook on things. One could say they’re ’on it’. Rules are pretty strict, as in limiting how many flower pots you can have on your patio, bird feeders not allowed, etc. but property is well maintained with a sense that everyone really cares. Location isn’t as central as other Clackamas apartments, not as close to shopping as they are (but still quite close). DO NOT RENT FROM THESE APARTMENTS. THEY ARE DELETING ALL OF THE ONE-STAR REVIEWS-PAY ATTENTION TO THE FACT THERE ARE NO RECENT REVIEWS. They are extremely overpriced for what you get- especially in the neighborhood the complex resides. It’s not safe anymore and is going downhill fast. At the actual units, windows and doors are very poorly installed making heat and air conditioning bills outrageous. This ventilation issue causes severe mold making my toddler and my family extremely sick. While I’ve contacted others in the complex having the same issue. After contacting the office, with photos, I was given a mold addendum after the maintenance threw pain on the mold. Almost every single cabinet fell off, causing me to get better hinges on my own dime. I lived here for nearly three years with

3 month update: We hired a subscription lawyer service for 30$ monthly. After 1 letter our deposit was immediately returned WITH NO OTHER CORRESPONDENCE. Our advice to any others dealing with illegally withheld security deposits is to hire a lawyer right away. Carla Props. does not reply to tenant issues apparently. Even prior to hiring a lawyer I waited 3 more weeks for a call from Jessica after relentless voicemails. Completely unbelievably horrible reaction to an issue.
