Stone & Browning Property Management LLC

As someone who lives adjacent to a Stone & Browning property, I would unfortunately not recommend this company. While everyone I have interacted with has been kind & professional, there is a serious lack of follow through. I have experienced this first hand and also had it reported to me by neighbors/residents. The most glaring example is this garage that has been left 3/4 painted for multiple years now. Despite being reassured that they would complete this project and alleviate this eyesore, we are now in another autumn of it still not being completed. Disappointing and not what you would expect from a property management company.

On Monday 1/5/2026 Belle immediately called me after my application and asked about addresses on my background check. I gave her all the information from my previous landlords that I had remembered - of 7 yrs and an older one over a decade ago. I then got a phone call on 1/9 Friday from Belle that the apt was taken on Wednesday. Why was the apt up on the website then if you already had another applicant. Then I got an email after I explained I can't communicate through email that my application wasn't complete because they can't reach my current/ past landlords. Some address I never even heard of?? How am I supposed to be held accountable for other people especially from people 10 years ago that might not even be the same company. Why would you even hold that against a tenant who Obviou

Not great. They charged me for insurance despite my having insurance and giving them a copy of it. They apologized but then said they can't refund me. The icing on the cake was the lease termination. Their PM system is so bad that it will charge you rent even after you properly terminate your lease and move out. I requested a refund for that but haven't heard back. I'll give them a few days before filing a small claims case. I have a feeling this might get litigious. One shining point! Scott on the maintenance team is amazing. The rest of the staff, not so much.

I have now been renting from stone and browning for 3 years in two different apartments. My property manager, Geoff G. Is fantastic and goes out of his way to answer any silly questions I may have, ensure the property is maintained and to help whenever necessary even for silly things (im far from a handy person/sometimes confused at silly things) and he never makes me feel bad about it. At times, it can be slow for less important items to get fixed but this is only because they are short staffed in maintenance workers. I think overall they do the best that they can and ive loved both of the apartments ive gotten to rent from them. We really appreciate the speedy, efficient and always understanding team at stone and browning. The issue we had with our hot water tank was handled well beyond our expectations. Stone and Browning is appreciated by our family.
