Sterling Housing Authority

I have the unfortunate chance of being a current tenant here and I would not recommend for anyone trying to live their lives. I have brought several issues and complaints about not only my safety but also the safety of my guests and these have not been addressed. Instead management has security show up at my door an hour past quiet time 11pm at night just to tell me that the manager wants my guest out by 10pm. Nowhere on the lease does it state this. Also I feel like this is being done because I am a male.

Update! April 2025 so much worse than my 1st review 2 years ago. I don't know how they have 4 stars when you look them up when only 3 people have reviewed and 2 (me being 1 of 2) give negative stars or 1 at most. If you go search county assesor this place has zero market value because a surveyor has noticed construction materials used didn't hold up. Asbestos lead paint , black water mold structural rotting units that's on top of termites carpenter ants ,mice , bed bugs , and an idiot exterminator. No value means no lender wants to lend money to fix units. Last week an electrical fire in family unit and if you want to know how inhumane a person is that labels themselves "senior executive director" has authority to open non vacant unit wouldn't . Beware! Honestly I give --negative 5 st

If your looking for a place i dont recommend it,keep looking. They have bed bugs, roaches and mice in their apartments if you have any other issues they don't fix the problems. An they dont tell you about anything,no warning when they test the fire alarms either. The lady's in the office aren't very friendly at all they make you feel like your inconveniencing them. The doors are suppose to be locked at nights only using a door key to enter. Apparently they still haven't fixed the door from the back enterance. Anyone can get in there as well. They watch everything an know exactly what, who is there. Some of the residents who live there watch your every move. They'll gossip about you an make you feel very uncomfortable there. Keep looking better places to reach out to.

Horribly managed. No accountability, no oversight. Board of directors should be contacted directly and shamed for failing to protect the elderly. A horrible example for a town so small as sterling***

Been here for a year, enjoy the people here. Love my apartment. And added bonus is I can have both my animals.
