If I could leave less than one star I would. This place is absolutely horrible the walls are so thin I can hear My Neighbor urinating when he gets up in the morning to use the bathroom. After being there a year you can go on a month-to-month rental which cost quite a bit more but, it’s a lie. It is not a month-to-month rental you still have to give them 60 days before you move out. This place is wrapped in greed they will try to keep your deposit and make you pay as much as possible before allowing you to leave. They threaten you with judgments and garnishments. When you try to ask for some leniency about giving a 30 day notice they threatened to ruin your credit. For the amount of rent that they are asking there are much nicer places in James city county I advise you look elsewhere. Thes

Great location. Great resident events & ladies in the office. I cannot wait to enjoy the pool and the dog park is always a blast.

move in was super easy and the apartment manager was so sweet as to help me drag a table all the way around due to it not fitting in the front door🥰

My mom lived in these apartments for 8 years. The best place for about 6 years. Taylor(the manager and the maintenance man) Joey were the best. They were truly missed. It hasn't been the same since.The bug issues were never bad. There was a water bug issue for a bit. It was taken care of. The apartment was extremely dark. Definitely needed to be updated. The pool is in my opinion the only good part of Steeplechase. The landscaping is also very beautiful. No regrets living there. It has changed and my mom is glad to be out... The rent isn't worth it. Definitely needs alot of upgrades. I think they are trying their best...

Steeplechase is extremely overpriced for their outdated apartments. I was put in an apartment that faced the road (not a big deal), but had virtually no natural light. I would have to turn on a light in the middle of the day to read a book-- that's how dark it was. The kitchen and bathrooms are very out of date, and my apartment had dingy carpet that desperately needed to be replaced. It smelled like sweaty feet when we moved in and took several weeks of us cleaning it to get rid of the smell. My biggest problem was the BUGS! Do NOT live here if you have a cockroach phobia like I do. They come out during the summer no matter how clean you keep your apartment, and my anxiety would be through the roof every night after seeing them pop out of random dark corners. I would see at least one type
