I do not recommend this inspector to anyone. I will hold myself accountable and say firstly due to this being my first home, I should've done my due diligence to ensure I got everything I needed professionally, honestly, and transparently. I closed on my home on August 5 and a few weeks after moving in I noticed something was off. I've had 4 different contractors to come look into my crawl space and they've all shared with me that there are loads of mold all over the place. I decided to go back and look at my inspection report from Steele Home Inspections and noticed the following clause, "Home inspectors are not required to report on the following:.....Determine the presence or absence of any suspected adverse environmental condition or hazardous substance, including but not limited to mo

I have used a number home inspectors. Steele Home Inspectors is a fantastic value, and their policy to match other inspection prices is awesome. The reports are very clearly written, which makes it easy for the homeowner or seller to understand. Duane usually arrives 30 minutes early to inspect the exterior so punctuality is not an issue.

I had my inspection done about year ago. With this company. I closed on my home June 14, 2021. No one has lived in my home for at least a year prior to me moving in. I moved into my home June 29. By July 4 weekend, my water heater was leaking in the garage. Luckily I was able to find someone to come out and take a look at it during the holiday weekend. Come to find out…..my water heater busted. It was soo rusted that it was only a matter of time before it broke. Yes…..less than a week after moving in MAJOR expense coming out of my pocket. The water heater was wrapped in insulation and he never touched that at all. So I had to replace the whole water heater. Not even a year into me living in my home I now have to purchase a whole new A/C unit. Once again……the coils in my A/C unit…..rusted.
