Pruitt Igoe of south county.Dangerous place. Shady times a million. Maintenance doesn’t speak English so it’s impossible to communicate. Rent has more than doubled in the last 3 years. This is not a position you wanna be in. You move into a 40 plus ur old apartment and stay for a year and they charge you to make it look new. This place is a nightmare. We need help. We’re trapped in these auto renewals and Megan is a bully and very deceptive. She with holds crucial information until it’s too late. We need help. I just had maintenance come in and fix my dishwasher. Jorge was the very nice young man that came for the repair. He has fixed my ceiling before in the small bedroom. He is a very pleasant young man, asked how I was doing and very concerned about fixing the problem with the dishwasher. I always have gotten maintenance requests fixed in a timely manner, and Jorge is just an awesome young man.

I recently had to have some maintenance done @ my apt and was pleasantly surprised by the nice young gentleman whose name is Jorge that showed up . He was so nice and informative about the repair. I had great conversation with him while he worked ( he probably wondered when I would stop talking to him) but he was so polite and so easy to talk to. Listen to the bad reviews. Lived in Southfield for 4 years. They try to trap tenants in lease renewals, the amenities are poor and they continue to raise rent for nothing. The laundromats mostly have machines that don’t work either. The front office will not answer you or be available easily. Your best bet is email. The new management offered to let us use our security deposit as a rent credit because of rent increasing and said we wouldn’t need to pay it back, I have this all in emails, but upon moving out they charged DOUBLE the original security deposit so they could paint… Over $2,000. Keep in mind the accent wall color is chosen by tenants when they move in regardless, but I guess that’s up to the previous tenant to pay for. No “damage” to speak of. I am completely disgusted with the lack of professionalism and humanity by the new management and leasing company. Over the last 4 months I have witnessed countless residents who have called this place home, people who were kind, hardworking and just overall good neighbors leave this community due to the rental increase. The complex promised upgrades, but maybe they need to focus on putting personal letters in an envelope instead of taping them to a door with painters tape for anyone passing by to read. Overall upkeep of the grounds have gone down hill. Due to the mass exodus of renters there has been furniture at the dumpster for over a month. Laundry facility is still something to be desired.
