South Summit Estates

I wanted to provide a review of the South Summit Estates. After about 10 years of having an overpriced and unkept apartment in Chandler for my dad and sister, I found it necessary to find something else for them. My uncle had recently moved here and I thought it would be a great place for my father and sister. They would be near my uncle and have family around since I am in California. From the beginning, the communication with Ms. Daniela Solis was easy, smooth and efficient. She promptly sent the application, processed it and approved them swiftly. I was able to time our exit of the old lease, to the new lease with ease. Ms. Solis worked with me so the overlap from the old apartment to the new apartment at South Summit Estates was seamless. I have lived here since it opened 4 years ago. At first the manager and maintenance worked to satisfy everyone who lived here. Now these past two years there are more and more young people living here when it’s supposed to be 55 and over. If there is some maintenance to be done in your apartment hope it’s not an emergency because it takes forever to get anything repaired, if it gets repaired! Management has done nothing about the parking situation either. It’s supposed to be to be one registered vehicle per apartment and some residents have 2+ cars! Good luck finding a parking after 5 or 6. This place has really gone down hill. They have cleaning people who don’t clean. They have yet to mop to the end of the hall! They don’t even dust the cobwebs in the emergency exit!! It’s a shame becaus

My Papa and I have been in our quiet apartment at South Summit Estates, September of 2024. Management is wonderful and are many of the tenants. A great place to live! Deborah Douthard 🖤

The estate has a really bad pigeon problem. They should be charged rent. The complex does nothing about it. Also, homeless people sleep on the campus and do illegal drugs and activities. For the amount of rent that’s charged, these kind of problems should not be happening. There is also a roach problem here. The problem is so bad, some of the tents have roach powder up and down the halls along side of the wall. Never see management in meetings or anything. Just collect rent and keep it moving.

Being that this place is a new community, I had such high hopes! They promised so much and have failed to deliver. My mom is a senior and this is where she currently lives. The biggest drawback to this place is the Western Canal. There is no perimeter fencing where the property faces the canal. My mom has had scary incidents occur where people have knocked on her window in the middle of the night. I have advised management and they don't seem to be doing much for the safety of their residents. I hope things get better because I like the community and management but there is some disconnect there.
