South Street Apartment Homes

Originally the Ambassador Apartments, built over 100 years ago in the 1920s. My father's family lived on the top floor from 1943 to 1956. They used to have BBQ parties on the roof. Peter in Houston TX, but family originally from Morristown NJ since 1714.

Horrible rental experience. Completely different from website description. No washer/dryer/air conditioning/microwave. House looks like 80 years old, no "renovation" whatsoever. Floor cracks, when people upstairs walks, it seems they are walking in your own living room. Public car parking requires 3 min walk. Completely robbery With price for 2000+ where I could pay 500 more for beautiful new apartments with fitness center and covered parking.

I have lived at this complex for just a year and have had a really nice experience. I believe everything is accurately advertised. Located right in the downtown area, walking distance to train station and The Green. The rental rates certainly reflect the great location, but well worth it. Definitely an older building with lots of character...but a nice place! The ladies at the rental office are very kind, and maintenance in house is very helpful and attentive. Really cannot beat the location!

We moved as the commute to NYC from Morristown is not tenable long term. But I often miss our time here. Reasonable prices, beautiful and stately old building, great location, safe and nice neighbors. Would recommend!

Constantly smells like cigarette smoke, management does nothing to resolve the issue. Hazardous living conditions. Bricks dropping off of the exterior constantly, the place is literally falling down
