South Block Apartments

The staff here really set this community apart and make living here such a great experience, every step of the way. They’re always hosting fun resident events, and our last paint-n-sip night was an absolute blast. The community itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and you can tell a lot of pride goes into how everything looks and operates. Big shoutout to the manager, Michaela, for personally helping me get my fire alarm battery replaced, such great service and care!

I was reluctant to live in an apartment and thought South Block would be an “elevated” experience… it was not. The exorbitant rent and numerous monthly fees do not justify the “value” that South Block offers. The building looks decent from the outside, but the units are built with cheap stereotypical “apartment” finishes and appliances that often need repair. The insulation is horrendous, so you are guaranteed to hear everyone living their lives around you. The elevators were commonly inoperable. Amenities were slim - rudimentary weight room, court yard, pickleball court. There were multiple inconveniences - 1. The annual “fire alarm check” was severely downplayed. I have lived and worked remotely from my apartment at South Block for almost two years. It is a bit expensive BUT it is worth it if you value the same things as I do. It is very quiet and peaceful (courtyard balcony is the best). Leasing and maintenance teams are responsive and super nice. The common spaces are always being cleaned. Great pet policy. SECURED parking, package deliver and entry. Private dog park onsite. Plenty of parking for you and guests.

I had placed a review that was less than favorable due to the price increases. The units are very nice, building is well maintained and issues are addressed in a timely manner. Del does his best to address the garbage from the homeless camp nearby while remaining very humane. I must say after having just moved out that South Block was a great place to live and the management and maintenances were so good to me. I would absolutely consider moving back there one day if it fits my budget in the future. 6/11/2024 Thank you South Block team for everything!!

After doing a lot of research, I decided South Block was the right place for me (and my dog and cat). Secure entrance and parking, pets welcome with dog park onsite, quiet and very friendly environment. My apartment looks into the courtyard which is peaceful, quiet and beautiful. Staff has been very friendly and responsive. Other tenants are very welcoming. While the rent is pretty high, I do feel that I am getting my moneys worth for sure.
