Sonterra Apartments at Paradise Valley

The entire process with this property is ridiculous. We were rented an apartment mid-November and immediately had to fill out 10+ work orders. It took over a week of us HARASSING to get any sort of movement to get things fixed. There are leaks, unsealed doors (hope you like bugs as much as me) doors and windows painted shut so you can’t open them, our garage door has a giant hole in it (hole is still there 5 weeks later and counting) keys didn’t work for mail, or storage, or really anything but the front door til almost a week later. The dishwasher was broken and unusable but worse than broken features are the missing ones. I toured Sonterra apartments at Paradise valley, located at 17440 North Tatum boulevard, Phoenix Arizona 85032, and while the community has many amenities and a solid location, the leasing experience left me feeling uninformed and not valued as potential future resident. From the phone interview, the leasing agent quoted apartment prices somewhere between 1700 and a little over 2,000. When I visited in person, I was never given a sheet of apartment prices for each unit. Nor did the agent reveal the different pricing options of the units that were becoming available. None of this was explained to me in detail I was simply told to go online if I had any questions. There was no follow-up or explanation. Which made it difficult to understand whether I would be getting the value for my money

We toured the property Friday and the gentleman did an excellent job. He was handling multiple tours at once and, despite being extremely busy, remained professional, patient, and attentive to everyone. The wait time was understandable considering he was managing the workload on his own, and he handled the situation exceptionally well. However, there was another staff member present with orange/blonde hair who remained seated and did not assist with tours, even though the office was clearly busy. It was surprising to see one leasing agent managing everything while the lady did not step in to help. This lack of support was noticeable and negatively impacted what could have been a smoother experience.

I’ve been living here for 6 years, mainly because the location is convenient — close to schools and my office. However, my experience with management has been disappointing. Every time I reach out with a request, it gets denied or ignored. It’s frustrating to stay somewhere for so long and still not feel supported as a resident.

We lived here for 14 months, overall my experience is good with this apartment. We can do walk within the community, safe place to stay and good staffing services. Never faced any issues.
